Difficult to write a review when I placed an order and had it refunded a week later because product was unavailable and no alternative or anything offered. Not a great first impression of Layered Lounge.

Been asked to write the review so here goes: I have never recovered the goods. I can see on the tracking that the courier company have not received it and no one has replied to my enquiry. How is that for a review?

Hi, I placed my order 5 Jan. Received an email from you to say that you had dispatched it on 9 Jan. DPD said they were waiting for my order on 9 Jan but not received it yet. Still waiting for my order. If you say you've sent it and DPD don't have it then I'd be interested to know where it is supposed to be. Thank you

Extremely disappointed with the service, ordered 2 lanterns which I paid for and were told had been dispatched, even had delivery confirmation from dhl only to be told two days later having them not arrived that I was being refunded (which took a further 2 days). These were presents and I therefore missed out completely. Will definitely not order from you again

Really disappointed with the quality and most certainly not worth the price paid- i purchased two gold stars and both have ripped already - for the price i paid it’s disgusting

We are really saddened to read your review since our paper decorations are a best selling range and we have sent out hundreds of these pieces. I wonder if I could ask if you have contacted customer services as we would most certainly wish to help rectify any problem you have with our products?

I received a voicemail stating that I had been emailed due to a cancellation of a product. No email had been received. I tried to call and no answer. I emailed and received a response from Rhiannon asking what I would like to do with my order. I replied and nothing. I emailed again. Nothing. I have called and no reply. Luckily I have purchased from layered lounge before but my patience are wearing thin and if I was a new customer I would be worried that I had been duped.

Customer Service is non-existent. Two of the items I ordered were wrong, I ordered a Tall BLACK modern lantern and received a BRASS one. I ordered a Faux Clam Shell - NATURAL and received a white one. I emailed the company three times and received a generic reply - we'll get back to you etc - no-one ever did. I have had to pay £5.36 return postage for the wrong items sent even though I am not at fault and due to you not doing exchanges, the items I initially ordered are now back at full price so I can no longer get them for the sale price. It is a bad way to run a business - reviews are everything these days and you have put me off ordering from you ever again.

Hi Cheryl I am so sorry for the frustration caused. I received your email on the 17th August at 16.38pm to which I responded on August 18th at 11.16am asking for photos of the incorrect items you had received. I also stated in this email 'Please note that we do not expect you to pay for the return if it is our mistake'. I then did not have a response from yourself with regards to this matter. Unfortunately I am in no position to write a review as the item,white hydrangeas, that I ordered on 2nd April has yet to be delivered even though I was given a delivery date of 2-4 working days, I would be pleased if you would look into this for me and let me know when I can expect delivery.

I ordered an item as a gift. Ordered in plenty of time. It arrived completely smashed. Despite phoning to be told all operators were busy and emailing twice I’ve not been contacted. Oh except this review has obviously been generated. I would not have written this for all to see but my friend’s birthday has now been and gone so I had to buy an alternative gift. I suspect the place is closed over Easter fortnight- too bad for customers like me.

why is my parcel going back to you when DPD couldn't find my address even though they are always delivering to this location and why did they not try again ? And why do i hear nothing about this when you have taken my money ???

The items I purchased (Christmas baubles) were of extremely poor quality. What is more the photographs and description of my purchase from your website were inaccurate - and not in a good way! I haven’t shopped at the Layered Lounge before and I won’t be again.

Received our 1st (and prob last) order from LL and was dissapointed to see the paper decorations being all dirty, smudged, glue marks on, brass lantern of a terrible quality barely glued together, overall shockingly poor and expensive for tat that will go to the charity shop. Due to the considerable size of the items I couldn't be bothered to return for a refund as I am unable to carry or fit such a box to my car. I am shocked to read so many others complaining by the appalling quality and also by the fact that despite this they still need to pay for postage to return the faulty goods surely this is illegal. Shocked to see such companies still making a living despite the terrible service and ridiculous prices. Terribly dissapointed overall. Would not recommend to anyone. Hard, expensive lesson. Wish I read the reviews beforehand.
