IQ Mobile is owned and operated by Peter Gradwell, a leading UK telecoms entrepreneur. His first business, Gradwell Communications, was founded in 1998 whilst at University in Aberystwyth and provides Cloud Telephony to over 20,000 UK small businesses.

In April 2020, Peter took over IQ Mobile, with a vision for a new type of mobile phone service that combines a high quality network, good value for money and a compelling offering that recognises the new more flexible, mobile way of working that so many of us are used too - but where we can also have a single phone device that respects our work/life balance.

Throughout 2020 and into 2021, we will be focused on innovating in the business mobile sector, adding Wifi Calling, 5G, Mobile Call Recording and other business class telephony features that the mobile world has long been looking for.

“Communication and delivery of my SIM card for my upcoming European break was extremely good . Can’t comment on the usage as it’s not activated yet but looking forward to a seamless experience.”

“I bought a sim card for use in my Motorhome. It was an easy procedure and the sim card was delivered really quickly. The only downside was that I twice asked questions about how their IQGo product worked, but failed to receive any reply”

“Very happy with the service and good value. Like that I can contact you by WhatsApp and that you respond quickly. We're touring Spain at the moment and the coverage has been excellent. Need to improve on checking data usage. Logging onto helloiq check data every time is too clunky. Four stars but could easily go to five given more usage.”

“As other reviewers have said , perhaps there could be an e-mail sent when the data allowance is getting low so another one can be ordered before running out seeing as this can be up to 24 hrs before it becomes active,any chance of an app coming ? to help with managing this.”

“The IQ Mobile system works very well for me in the motor home and also for wifi at home, my only comment would be that as the data is nearing the end, an email instead of a message on the mobile device would be more noticeable as a reminder to top up.”

“Very good value, simply plans. Customer service staff are fantastic - very efficient, helpful and friendly. The ability to communicate by Whatsapp is great. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because they haven't got an app yet (which other providers have) so you have to use the website.”

“Absolutely love my IQ GO sim. Works perfectly. Fantastic customer service. Just the perfect solution. I would just like an app to monitor usage. It's a pain having to open notes to find my number, paste into website, then go to email for code and paste that in. Face ID on a App would be perfect. Then 5+ stars.”

“Process of buying a data top up for a IQ go SiM is very simple. However the purchase wasn't (I'm told) 'applied correctly' which meant we didn't have data when we arrived in France. When I contacted the team via whatsapp the issue was resolved quickly.”

“Easy enough to set up but the instructions very much focused on using the sim for a phone rather than a router.”

“Customer service was perfect when I had a wee problem on set up. Literally the only thing I can fault is that when trying to see how much data has been used there's only a text option. I'm using a router so cant see the text (haven't brought a laptop and to be honest it would be awkward because of the motorhome routers location) Smarty offers an email option too, so I can see my data usage when using the router.”

“Just purchased an IQ sim. Easy purchase and easy to use my PAC code to change my mobile number over. The coverage seems OK but not great so far however it's early days so I need to test it out in a few more locations. Used the chat function alone thr website and they were pretty responsive although didn't manage to totally answer my question so I'd say they are OK and not terrible like some of their competition!”

“Very happy overall. Reliable mobile WiFi at a very competitive price. It would be 5 stars, but there are few things that could be better like correct phone numbers on packaging and a way to track useage which does not involve sending it to a sim in the back of a router! However, you are able to communicate to an actual person via WhatsApp and all problems were sorted. Hope to remain a customer”
