Turned up on time. Repeated attempts to upsell during initial valet (had paid for full valet) and hence related interruptions. Did not finish clean of car externally and promised to return but did not- when chased with office another member of staff sent to wash vehicle externally. Internal clean left rubbish , windscreen streaked/smeared, and marks on seats. Not particularly impressive for the cost.

I recently booked Fresh Car’s Signature Valet in the Cardiff area for my small city car. At £165 for up to 4 hours of work, it sounded like a premium service — but unfortunately, the results were really disappointing. The interior windows were covered in smears, the dashboard, mirrors, and vents were still dusty, and there were visible soda stains left on the leather seats. My car isn’t new, so I wasn’t expecting miracles — but I did expect it to be properly clean. No smears, no dust, no obvious removable marks. That’s the basic standard, and it wasn’t met. The valeter, Rhys, only spent around three hours on the job, despite the service allowing up to 4 hours. At the time I didn’t think much of it, but given the missed areas, it felt rushed in hindsight. I emailed Fresh Car straight away with photos. Their initial response was just to say that, as a franchise, it’s up to the individual valeter to respond — which didn’t inspire much confidence. Eventually, someone agreed the job wasn’t up to standard, but it still took four working days (and a follow-up from me) to arrange a resolution. Daniel, who came to fix the issues, was polite and addressed everything I’d listed. But since it had been two weeks, I’d hoped for a quick once-over too — instead, he stuck strictly to the complaint, which is fair, but it did feel like a box-ticking exercise rather than real customer care. Colleagues who saw the state of the car after the first clean couldn’t believe I’d paid £165. I’ve now moved to a local garage that charges a third of the price and does a far better job. Fresh Car works through a franchise model, so experiences will vary. But based on mine, I can’t recommend them. I’d downloaded the app and was considering their monthly plan — but I’ve deleted it now and won’t be booking again.

I recommended you to my daughter but unfortunately she got a very rude and late man who managed to damage her car seats from oversoaking them and she now has to pay for a new seat the guy was not interested in compensation of any kind and the company are useless, keep telling her to claim his insurance but can’t get anywhere with them. Avoid at all costs it’s a very expensive valet

It’s concerning to learn that the valeting did not meet the high standards we strive to uphold, and we understand how upsetting it must be when damage occurs. We take these matters very seriously. As we are franchise operated business, Claims for damage are held against the franchise which attended and carried out the valet. We have requested to obtain the invoice of the repair work your daughter had carried out to allow the franchise to send this to their insurance. Unfortunately we have not received this as of yet. Once we obtain this invoice we can proceed with assisting in making a claim against the franchises Liability Insurance. We're sorry to hear about your experience and we hope to be able to assist with the claim once we obtain the necessary information.

First time using them and I wont be again!! 1hr and a half late, I had to ring to chase. Watermarks left in various places on car looking shabby. Dashboard and windows nor cleaned very well!!!! Paying £57 I expected a great just out of the showroom feel but no my local car wash place charge £25 and do an amazing job. Expected a nice clean smell inside aswell and my leather seats were still dirty, not happy at all and think I should get at least a part refund!!!! I was going to have loads of repair work done with them aswell but no chance now!!

£200 show room valet not anywhere near that level. Jet washed everything pretty much everything exterior and interior, even my wife said “should he be doing that?” And she has zero interests in cars. The car now smells worse due to a wet interior and faulty window switch due to excess water applications. I’ve asked the company to cease contact as I won’t be giving them a chance to now rectify as they’ve squandered that. Company copied and pasted their policy vs working with me for a solution. Typical slippery shoulders and it’s the agent issue vs the company they represent as they paid them to use their branding. I very much doubt a McDonalds franchise would just say it’s the owner that’s the issue not the brand, or maybe that’s just my thinking. I would not personally recommend and save your money and go to a £7.50 car wash at your local supermarket. I’m looking forward to their reply but I’ve copy and pasted it below for transparency. Paid £125 and was told it would be back to showroom spec. After he showed me the car to start with I had to show him streak marks which is housing of been doing and then had to make a complaint as the wheels were still dirty and didn’t realise until Himanshu had left. He did offer to come back but done it myself as was a better finish.

I feel bad leaving this review as the man we had was very professional and polite, the car is “clean” - however, there was a lot of water still left in the carpets, I had to ask him to suck it out and there was still a lot of muck coming up through them after they were supposed to be done. Ive gone back over it myself to remove fluff - a line of mud still on the door also. For £75 I really expected the car to be gleaming and based on reviews I had seen on here. Overall the car is “cleaner” but not as to the standard I’d of expected for a FULL valet - seems more of a basic clean standard.

Car was full of mould and I paid for interior deep clean AND full sterilisation. The guy who valeted the car was very nice, did a fantastic interior deep clean and the mould was removed. However I didn't see him doing steam cleaning or fog sanitisation treatment, which were both included in my package. So very clean car and happy with it but can't say the same about the paid premium deep sanitisation.

One thing to note, Valeters are not Detailers. Anyone who thinks otherwise, please do your research. There's cleaning and there's cleaning. Having had my car Valeted, only on the inside, I couldn't help notice that the products used were heavy-duty household cleaning items. Well known brands. Forgive me for pointing this out, but surely these detergents are meant for other things and not delicate car interiors...In all the job was acceptable, but any good Valeter should be using car cleaning products designed specifically for your car's exterior / interior. I would advise asking them what they products they are using prior to booking. I didn't ask, as I assumed they be in the right kind of items for the job specified.

Hi! We're so sorry you are not happy with the cleaning products used by our valeters. All our valeters are fully trained in valeting, and some of our valeters are additionally trained in detailing, however this is specific to certain areas in the UK. We do train all our valeters to use Karcher, Auto Glym and Auto Smart products. Arrived 30 minutes early which wasn’t really an issue, paid nearly £40 for a valet which stated 40 minutes, she was done in less than half an hour and there was still marks allover which my husband pointed out but she didn’t seem bothered was just trying to rush off, very rushed and unprofessional, my husband went back out and cleaned it himself I took photos of the cloths he used they were black !

arrived 25 minutes late and did not do a very good over all job when a few things were pointed out him he said it was all he could do in the time for a standard job, but as far as we are aware a deep clean was ordered and paid for the things that were pointed out would have been sorted in just a few minutes if he had wanted to but said we should have paid for extras.

Pros: The mould removal worked well and the service was good; he was friendly. Cons: Very basic clean and it was not worth the price I paid.

I'm sorry I didn't look close enough before he left but overall l am very disappointed with the valet I received this time. Booked for 2pm, he arrived 2 hours late at 4pm for which he apologised and with another person he brought to finish it quicker, finished the valet one hour 20 mins later at 17:20. I Paid £75 for a full valet and found marks on interior where I expected plastic to be back to black. Found 2 marks on bonnet like where bird had splat but still showed through and was obvious. Front Volvo chrome had water marks and not particularly clean so I had to washed and buff this to shine. And when I looked under wheel arches I could see dirt and when I took a cloth to it, dirt fell down onto tyres from all the arches. Overall, felt it was rushed and definitely not done to the standard expected.

Two appointments, (Nottingham) both dissapointing. First appointment left black splashes on white interior trim. Everything else was good and he did offer to come back, fair enough, small error not the end of the world. Second appointment, wheels not cleaned properly - black marks left in between the spokes, missed wiping behind the wing mirror and left smear marks on the mirror itself, water stains all over the rear window and parts of the dashboard were missed. I appreciate they aren't major issues but what is the point in paying if I have to finish the job myself or ask the valeteres to come back? It's poor attention to detail. We won't be using the service again.
