“Ordering was simple and I received an "Item dispatched" email containing the tracking number for the courier. Next day I received a text from the couriers telling me that had my order. Excellent service and I will definitely use this again. Mick”

“My order was well packed and delivery was very quick. The wines I bought were all labels or varieties of labels uknown to me and I ordered on the strength of their descriptions on the drinksdirect website. Unfortunately all turned out to be very disappointing and poor value for the prices, so its back to [external links removed] and I've learnt not to take much stock in florid website descriptions of unknown labels.”

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to read you have not been satisfied with the wines you have purchased. Wine like art can be subjective. Whilst it is possible to generally separate good wines from bad wines, what constitutes a really good wine (or really bad one!) is down to personal preference. We all have a unique palate, which also means that some flavours and taste recognised by some may not be experienced as intensely as by others. At DrinksDirect.co.uk efforts are make to ensure the portfolio of drinks represent good value for money. Not all wines our suppliers would like us to list make it to our live product listings. We place a greater emphasis on customer product requests and we welcome customer feedback (using the feedback form on the website) on products our customers and website visitors have tried and would like to see listed at DrinksDirect.co.uk. Looking at the details for your order, the items purchased are brands that are available. However the exact same blend may not be available in any of the bricks-and-mortars retailers. We apologise if the products you purchased have not appealed to your tastes.

“We ordered this wine for my parents who live 70 miles from us. We previously ordered from another on line company who let us down really badly by not even having the wine in stock despite advertising it and after 2 weeks we cancelled the order. So when we tried Drinks Direct we were a little sceptical about using another on line company, but we needn't have been because within 24 hours we had confirmation of the order and a date for delivery (2 days later). Really impressed with the service and my parents said the delivery guy from City Link was really nice too. We will order again from this company.”

“This is the first website I have used that does not provide the facility of an alternative delivery address apart from being to say for example "leave at number xx if not in". This is not good enough.”

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to read of the delivery address issue you experienced. It is possible to specify a delivery address that is different to the invoice address. On the first checkout page you are prompted "Deliver to a Different Address?". If you click on the respective tick box, a tick appears. You are then prompted for a delivery address on a later checkout page. I apologise if this was in any way unclear and if it detracted from your experience of using the DrinksDirect.co.uk service. “I stumbled across DrinksDirect by accident but was very pleased I did. I started by asking a question late on the Friday night and they got back to me on the Monday morning - even apologising for the delay, quite unnecessarily. The package arrived the day after and the note I typed out on the website was included. The customer service was excellent and I'd recommend them to anyone who plans on buying for someone else, or themesleves, the wonderful gift of booze. Cheers!”
