“My very old Denman brush was ready to be retired. I had been very happy with it. I’m sad to write that the new Denman brushes I received are of very poor construction….not at all like my old one. In fact, one of the brushes has faulty brush prongs…3/4 of the middle section prongs are unevenly lower than the rest. Also prongs are now NOT with rounded tips…cut into my finger cuticle the first time I used the brush.”

“I love the ability to take this brush apart for cleaning purposes or to remove rows if needed. This is not a brush for detangling hair, but it does help define curls and reduce frizz. This isn't something I use daily, but it is great at making more defined curls on wash days.”

“I have loved Denman for as long as I can remember especially the jazzed up collections however on this occasion the ones I recently purchased they just had a sticker type transfer on them which actually makes them look cheap and not to the standard I expect, obviously the brush it’s is just as good just disappointed in the decor this time.”

“I have natural curly 3b hair. I heard about Denman brushes from my hair stylist. I went home, saw a few curly hair tutorials online using the brush and immediately placed my order. Your brushes are truly game changers for my curls. They are worth the $ for sure. I only wish I had found them sooner.”

“This is my 2nd Denman brush. First in 2012 seemed superior in quality and lasted 9 years of use and regular washing. I was a little disappointed to find new brush doesnt resemble my last brush and seems very similar to a cheap brush made in China I bought in the interim. This brush is more rigid and of a different construction as well as material so will see if it stands the test of time. I hope so.”

Hello Karen, thank you for sharing your thoughts on your new D4 brush. Your first brush may have been our D5 heavy weighted brush, this also has 9 rows of pins but is slightly larger and heavier with a matt handle. We do hope you will love your new D4 brush as much as your first brush. Take care. Jill
