“I don’t understand how people are getting such amazing results with this brush. I’ve tried using it with various different techniques, with all the rows/with some removed, etc. and my hair has never looked worse. I never brush my hair because it removes the clumps but thought this brush would be different. Nope, my hair has never been stringier and doesn’t even have nicely defined curls… this company should provide their own tutorials and information about the brush so that we, as the customers, are not going all over the internet trying to figure it all out. Their customer service just sent me a few videos from TikTok, like ok that’s not helpful…”

As my colleague explained, defining your curls with a brush can take some time to perfect and achieve the desired results. Many customers who start their curly journey have said it can take a year for their curl pattern to fully transition. Stick with it and hopefully you will see the results you are after. “Though your hairbrush is exquisitely made, the process of brushing my hair with your brush feels like I’m wiping it with notebook paper. It feels ineffectual and if part of its purpose is to massage the scalp as I brush the hair, this one doesn’t. Thanks”

“A good thing I'll say is that the brush seems like good quality, but the customer service is terrible. I contacted them and was ignored about exchange options because one of my brushes didn't even look like the picture. I don't like that they don't pay for return shipping labels...which will make consider buying from third party in the future.”

“Very well-made brushes—they are very small and sooo lightweight in my hands they are surprisingly difficult to use. there isn't such little hair grip that my hair just flops right out of the brush for what i was expecting. i wanted to love it was excited to get it but its not working for me.”

“I have large hands and I find that all of the brushes I ordered are not large enough. If I had smaller hands, maybe. But I'm having to get creative and just should have gotten a cheaper brush that fits my hands better. If you have large hands, I would look elsewhere.”

“For a $50 brush, I was expecting more material in the handle. It is so thin and hard to grasp. My cheap little 5-dollar brush has more material in the handle for a thicker and easier-to-handle grip. I'm pretty disappointed by this brush in that regard.”

“If I am rating the actually brush I wasn't to pleased with it as used these brushes for years but this one the bristles feel to soft which is a shame. The actually company good service and good pricing.”

“Bristle cant stand the heat. The bristles bended by blowdryer's 300f heat. There should be a disclaimer stating it can be used with heat lower than 300f. The bent bristles broke more strands than usual. Customer service did not grant my 12 year guarantee.”

Hi, thank you for your review. Our D94L brush has a very high heat tolerance of over 200c, most materials will weaken if sustained heat is applied to one area. “Very disappointed, the "bristles" on this brush are very stiff and rough on the scalp, and handle is too small in relation to the size of the rest of the brush to be ergonomic. Not worth the investment.”

“I really wanted to love this brush but unfortunately, when I tried to use it as shown in videos on the internet, it just got tangled in my hair and pulled my hair out. My daughter has more wavey hair than my curly hair and the results were the same.”

Hi Destynee, Thanks for sharing your review, I am sorry that you find the new brush very hard. We hear that from time to time when customers are replacing their old brush. The bristles soften over time and getting a new brush is kind of like getting new shoes - it takes a while to break it in. While it might feel a little uncomfortable, it's actually really good for your scalp because it stimulates blood flow and encourages new growth. Thanks again for sharing you review, have a great day!
