About Bell Group:

Whilst we are considered a market leader, our Group remains a family owned and operated company; George Bell, our Chairman and Founder, set up his own commercial painting and decorating company in April 1984 – Collins and Bell Ltd – operating throughout the central belt of Scotland. Since that time the Group has grown through acquisitions as well as organically; this has resulted in developing a strong network of services, which have been designed to integrate on a national, regional and local basis. Our key strength as a business is our team which we have developed over the years; this is partly thanks to the comprehensive training programme put in place for all employees and our commitment to respecting individuals.

“I had the pleasure of having the A-team from Bell uk Fife division in to fit a new kitchen. The whole team were great, from the friendly clean up crew & plasterers, fantastic joiner and his extremely polite son, to the fastest decorators in Fife and the gaffers who made it possible. Many thanks to you all, I’m extremely happy with the service provided, especially getting to see the handsome joiner twice lol..”

“Just a number... No one cares”

“All last week I had two contractors from Bell working on fire doors at the site I manage and they were very good not only at the work they completed but from how they liaised with myself and how they were with the residents. They were very friendly and polite and kept me up to date throughout the day with their progress”

“I had to chase to get a quote which should have been a warning sign. Paid the deposit and no painters. 3 months later. This is despite calls to the office and the sales man. Don't go here.”

“Really impressed with recent paint work done to outside of my property. Painter lLee Mooney did an excellent job taking the time to sand down the paint work properly before starting the paint job . He is polite & cleans up after working . I have lived here for over 20 yrs and he has been the best painter by far in that time . Not a quick slap on job like some cowboys . “Today I got promised for someone to come to measure my door for a new replacement front door had a appointment from early am and no one turned up, talked to the contractor and he promised he would be there, but no one turned up,, I feel like I’ve let my employer down as I had to take the day off”

“What a disgraceful company been 10 months back and forth with them regarding a bathroom reform for a mentally handicapped person they agreec a start time and date for which we had to make arrangements for the resident to be out of the house this done and confirmed at a cost of £900;00 on the agreed date they failed to turn up or even call to inform why they did not start the work.”

“Excellent comms”

“Ex employee and pleased to be so too now. In my experience here, this company (Letchworth office especially) is a disgrace and shambolic. The organisation is non-existent and the hierarchy are liars. They could not organise a p*ss up in a brewery. I was ‘let go’ because I called them out on their incompetence and they did not like it. They being the clique of this office (Graham Pringle, Steve Tucker and the worst of the lot, Phil Exley). Their primary focus was themselves, at the expense of EVERYTHING else - Bell, employees, the work and the clients and customers. Shameful. The small team I worked with however, headed up by Jen Lawrence, were all brilliant and I miss them. But the clique systematically worked to break this up. I do not miss Bell Group. Even HR remained silent on all my communication to them about the issues we all encountered. If only Craig Bell could have got involved to sort all this out and get rid of the rot that caused it all.”

“Twice arranged a visit , twice no shows! No notice of cancellation, in this day and age? I stayed home for these idiots! As an original reviewer, I had said when I called the office , they couldn't have cared less, probably doing their nails, did they get the job because they're part of the family??! Brandon E, is the lacklustre star of the no show. This is for the guy who when I reviewed last time (deleted it due to my error on dates) questioned me which Brandon it was, this was before the second no show??(you would have thought he would have told Brandon Em , but obviously not 🤷🏻‍♂️. Never use these monkeys, avoid at all costs. Lack of communication!!! One star because you can't leave no stars.”
