I was very pleased with the response from the company. All queries answered promptly. However I am very disappointed with the quality of the paper the Notelets are printed on. I had expected a light card at the very least as it is the paper is hardly better than photocopying paper. It seems the only other option would have been card at around £500 for 500 which is not financially viable for our volunteer group.

Hi Nina Thank you for your review - I'm pleased that we were able to manage your enquiries quickly. With regards to the paper, the Notelets are printed on 150gsm which is classed as heavy paper. Generally, we find this weight ideal for this item and we also use it for our poster printing as it is quite substantial. As you note, we do offer a Notecards option which is printed on 300gsm card. Just to clarify, the Notecards are printed as sets of 6 cards and envelopes so 500 would have given you 3000 cards which is why they cost more. I do hope you will consider us again for any future projects - we can always provide you with a custom quote for different papers, quantities etc if required. Kind regards Miranda Barnett Director

Printing took a long time to arrive with no apology or explanation.

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear that you feel let down in our dispatch time. However, to clarify the timeline it actually took 3 working days to print and dispatch your cards which is well within the 5 working days to dispatch from proof approval as published on our website. Order placed on Saturday 2/4, proof uploaded on Monday 4/4, proof approved late Thursday afternoon 6/4, product printed, finished and dispatched Tuesday 12/4. We always endeavour to meet our published dispatch lead times and when we do run into issues, such as with certain paper shortages, to contact our customers and advise them that there will be a delay. Kind regards Miranda Barnett ALP Director

Good service. I had aproblem with my first order because your email went to spam and after 2 weeks I thought perhaps someone would contact me direct but didn't. Also, I like the pad made from offcuts but not wrapped in plastic!

Thank you for your review. To clarify, the bag holding the notepad is made of corn starch, not plastic, and is both compostable and biodegradable. I’m sorry that you had a problem receiving your proof notification; occasionally the emails divert to junk folders together with the follow up reminders. This is an automated process and unfortunately we would not necessarily have known the emails had not reached you. Best regards Miranda Barnett

I was looking forward to print my Christmas cards this year with A Local Printer, the quality and service was as good as last year, what shocked me was the £25 courier fee to the Shetland Isles( NO need for courier service ). The package is just a standard A4 box. Last year I had printed a hundred A4cards for less than £70 included delivery, this year I have printed a hundred A5 cards and the bill came to over £100 . If there are alternatives for customers to choose what delivery methods they prefer that would be good for the future.

Thank you for your review and feedback. I have responded to you directly as there are a few elements to this which would take up rather a lot of space here. However, we have made a refund against the courier charge and thank you for drawing it tou our attention. Kind regards Miranda and Team ALP

My designs use block colours as backgrounds. For my general prints I have them printed in giccle to get consistency. It is always a risk with different types of printers whether it will turn out alright. Unfortunately in this case it wasn't, so lucky I only ordered proofs. The colour was inconsistent in tone and i could see a few stripes in areas. I understand this risk is unavoidable with certain methods of printing. Something that is possible for you to improve on in the short term is for it to be made clear that for the

I ordered samples to find out not only the printing and paper quality but to see what the finished product would look like. The printing quality seemed good but the sample notebooks seemed a little flimsy and cheap for the price I payed.
