“We returned from our holiday to a late email advising us that the minibus had broken down, and that you would send two large vehicles who would both be waiting for us. Had a phone call to ask where we were, but we were stuck at passport control as there was only 2 members of staff on. After 30 minutes I called back to say we were through and on our way. We finally found the man and vehicle in departures. There was only one vehicle and he kept telling me that the other was 2 minutes away. We loaded the first vehicle up and asked him to go,as we had dogs to get from the kennels. He didn't leave and kept saying the other vehicle was coming. Whilst waiting for the second vehicle the driver apologised that the minibuses were in Scotland and Bristow - not broken down like we were advised. After 10/15 minutes the other vehicle arrived and the first finally left. The second vehicle had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. (We spotted a cigarette packet in the car). The man drove away but then went on his phone with no hands free - in a different language. We asked him to get off his phone, but he ignored us. We soon realised that he was asking someone about the postcode of our destination. We asked him again to get off his phone as we were on a motorway and we knew the address. He then apologised and explained to us he was doing a favour to a friend who'd just called him up and told him to get to Heathrow T5 ASAP. He said he didn't work for the company and didn't even know the company name. All of this was on top of our departure vehicle arriving over 10 minutes late. I feel this is all very unprofessional and not what we booked and paid for. We purposely booked a large minibus so we would all have room, and could all travel together. To send us a vehicle and man that doesn't work for you, who feels it's acceptable to drive whilst using his phone and typing on a satnav on a motorway is totally unacceptable. Was we even insured to be in his vehicle? Is he even a licensed taxi as he had no tags on the vehicle?”

“Very easy to book online. Yesterday our Driver Rasheed arrived early at the pickup point. He was extremely attentive, well mannered and at the drop off point at Luton Airport gave us clear instructions how to access the airport from the car park. We always use 1st Airport Taxis when flying.”

“Booked in advance a journey from Newquay airport to St.Ives. Everything seemed booked and we even received a booking confirmation text message to reply Yes to our booking, which we did. When we landed we were looking for the driver but couldn't see them. We called the company and they told us the booking was cancelled and no replacement to be offered. They said the 'email might have went to the junk box and the text message and app are faulty as they are in beta testing so we should have ignored that'. So we should have ignored the direct confirmation of booking, interesting policy. Luckily the taxi company at the airport had a taxi available straightaway and it was even cheaper then 1st Airport taxis.”

“This was the first time we had used 1st Airport Taxis for a visit back to the UK. Our happy driver Raja was extremely friendly, communicative and made our journey from the West Midlands to East Midlands very straightforward, particularly when travelling with our toddler. Should we be arriving into Birmingham airport again and needing a transfer, we will most definitely be booking with 1st Airport taxis in the future.”
