“I noticed that complete savings had taken £15 from my account . When i looked on the net to find out who this body was , Neither myself nor my wife recall ever having heard of them . I sent them an email asking who signed up and through which retailer etc . I also gave my bank account number and sort code . They responded with (we could not find your account and could i send them my account details so that they might assist ) . I responded with the fact that I had already sent them my details and suggested it was strange that they could not find my account , but seemed to be able to find my bank account to relieve me of monies . Having read an article on WHICH , which stated that complete savings claimed that they sent all new clients 5 emails during the first month to verify membership
https://www.which.co.uk/news/2017/10/beware-costly-online-cashback-schemes/. I checked both my and my wife's emails for any communication re the account and there was none whatsoever (liars). have emailed them several times recently but got no response”
“Like so many people on here and on Trust Pilot I inadvertently signed up to Complete Savings when buying gig tickets.
I received no welcome pack and I only noticed the £15 deductions after 13 months (my fault, I know). I rang Complete Savings and they immediately agreed to refund £15. When I stayed that I wanted to query the account the line went dead.
I rang again and the line again went dead as soon as I mentioned querying the account. I rang the credit card company and told them to stop all future payments.
I contacted Complete Savings a third time and they agreed to refund £45 and to send me a claim form within 5 days to reclaim the balance.
They delivered on their promise and fully refunded my account yesterday. Strange company but were quick to refund when challenged.”
“Complete Savings guarantee you a minimum 10% cashback when you shop on their website. Complete Savings have endless list of exclusions written in the small print. The over zealous staff send you an email saying you will not be paid any cashback because you have violated one of their many exclusions but refuse to tell you which one. I wouldn't touch Complete Saving with a barge pole.”
“I had no idea I was signing up to a monthly subscription. The svaing offer to save on next purchase came up after a purchase from Debenhams. I didn't see any monthly subscription might have been the Small print.”
“I had no idea I was signing up to a monthly subscription. When I ticked the box I thought this was an ASDA in-house savings scheme. Having now accidently become aware of the scheme, it is not something I would use and would never consciously have subscribed to. The way this happens is less than transparent and, as such, it is at best sharp practice.”
“Absolutely abhorrent behaviour, I clicked on this saying it will SAVE me money when buying gig tickets. I had no recollection of being told there would be a monthly membership fee of £15.00?! I entered no bank details, no confirmation of card details, they've just taken them from when I bought gig tickets? How is this legal? That's like me buying something from one shop, popping next door to the next shop the shop keeper telling me next time you buy something from the first shop we'll save you money, and then taking money unknowingly with the card details from the initial shop a month later? Thought it looked dodgy when I first saw the advert and low and behold my instinct was right. I cancelled as soon as I realised by emailing and in fairness they did cancel my 'membership'.”
“never did i expect to be paying anything to anyone. i never even gave my bank details. they must of got them from my shopping details at asda. only noticed because i hardly ever use this account and have no standing orders with it, so when a notification popped up this morning my alarm bells rang. totally corrupt in my opinion.”
“I didn’t even know I signed up to this at all... just one day I noticed £15 had come out of my account. I called them to cancel and refund, which they did, however had all my details. I explained how confused I was on how they had my details as I never set this up with them. The employee kept dodging the question.”
“Absolute rubbish policies. I made purchases of more than £2200 and was supposed get £220, which they are now refusing to pay saying that I broke their terms and conditions. Don’t believe all fancy claims of savings.”
“Everybody who is not happy with Complete Savings, please complain to the Financial Conduct Authority and BBC Watchdog. Complete savings are misleading the public into signing up to a worthless scheme. The more complaints the better. Complete Savings to be exposed as much as possible for their dirty tricks.”
“Any excuse from 'Complete Savings' will do for them NOT to refund you. Myriad reasons could apply - too many to list. In my view, absolutely not worth subscribing to this 'system'.”
“Signed up thinking it was a one time discount voucher. Not a subscription service charging £15 a month after the first month.
The small print detailing the £15 a month subscription is very easy to miss if you're signing up on a mobile device. (It's almost like they want you to miss reading it for some reason).
They also conveniently don't send you any email reminders saying your free trial is about to end and you will be charged. You're best off avoiding this company entirely, you'll just end up losing money if you don't spend hundreds a month.”
“Scam
Complete savings has kept my cashback hanging at £0.00 for 26 days now. They owe me £245.88. After 10 days I made a non tracked item claim. They say that the receipt that I sent to them is not proof of payment.
Complete Savings has been rumbled on Money Saving Expert. Just go take a look. Now they been rumbled, they now stopped any further comments.”
“I have also just realised they have been taking ££15 a month from my account for over 4 years. Don't usually check my account for small amounts but during this lockdown period went through it and only realised what has been happening. They said they would refund me £45 so I am still in discussion emails as they have robbed me now contacted my bank.”
“IO wouldn't recommend this company. The promised saving and benefits never materialize. Its imposible to get through their one and only phone number (always engaged). Sending mail through their website is not operational. They charge you membership even after you have cvacelled and theu have acknowledge so.
|I wonder why so many well rteputed chains like Artgos and many others lend their name.
My sincere advice is to stay away. If it sounds too good to be true, there is a reason.”
