“The food is great, but the pricing is shady. In July 2021, a 10kg bag of the chicken variety cost £42.07. At the time of writing, it now costs £57.99 - that is an increase of 20%. Even more concerning is that the price was increased in the month prior to black friday - the "20% black friday discount" is not a discount - they are just playing with numbers to give you the illusion of a bargain. Unfortunately, I am going to steer away from this company from now on.”

Thanks James but you are mistaken. At no time has the full price of a 10kg bag of Chicken been £42.07. Maybe you are referring to a promotional offer?
In July 2021 our 10kg Chicken was £49.49.
Yes, Chicken is now £57.99 and our email subscribers and food subscribers have been kept up to date with the challenges we face these days and the reasons for any price increases. The Black Friday sale ends tonight and after that the prices go back to list price, unless you are a subscriber, then you get 10% discount on any order. Black Friday makes us busy for a few days but the winners are the customers (and DPD), not us. Many thanks. Richard

“Bought 2 small bags (chicken and duck) for our two dogs. One terrier and one sighthound. Both went crazy for this for the first two days, but then our sighthound got a bad belly and stopped eating. She may have a bug, but I think unfortunately this was due to the food. Our terrier loved it and his belly has been fine. I'd recommend trying and seeing what your pup thinks!”

Hi Jenny, thanks for your comment. We'd like to offer free delivery on every order but the cost of using a decent next day door to door delivery service like DPD is not something we can absorb all the time. The standard DPD charge including fuel tax and VAT is more than the £5.95 we charge for smaller orders. We discussed a lot (!) where to put the cut off for free delivery as we knew that there would always be the odd customer who didn't feel a win win. Bear in mind over £39 and we pay the delivery!
