“I took six films to test - four frosted ones for a ground floor shower window in a barn conversion, the reflective ones to try and reduce the heat in the office and outbuildings which have fridges and freezers and SE-facing windows. Easy to apply - I cleaned the glass and used a fine spray of water mixed with a drop of washing-up liquid on the sticky side, and used a squeegee to smooth. Initially looked a bit rough but dried out to leave a really good finish.”

“The instructions are clear and precise so following them meant the film went on without too much hassle. It works well and certainly blocks the light. It is, however, tricky stuff to handle. Because it is film it slips all over the place and off your table when measuring if you don't put something on it to keep it in place. The hardest task was separating the film from its lining but once done it goes on easily. You can't spray enough soapy liquid on the film and window when applying the film to the window. It makes it easier to adjust. And be sure to follow up regularly with the spreader to ensure all bubbles are squeezed out. I did that for a few days and you get a good finish.”
