I cannot begin to explain how I bad they are, so I won't even try. When I finally gave up and tried to cancel they basically threatened me and tried to enforce some sort of 3 month penalty for me leaving. For what? Good luck with that, I will happily pay thousands to stand in front of a judge and demonstrate with clear evidence why your are scamming people. Guess I'll get another cut and paste reply like everyone else here, "sorry, please call our 0330 number, we care...." which is treating us like cattle. I had an enema the other day and it was better than their customer service, I'd have another too if it stopped these jokers trying to extort me, at least somebody entering my bum would be for a good reason, even though its weird. AVOID THEM.

It is a total shambles: When we decided to cancel our contract before we were offered an upgrade that they never honoured. The engineer in our area left my wife feeling very nervous when she was alone with him, and, despite reporting that I did not want this individual coming back here, Verisure have sent him twice. Both of his last repair visits have not solved problems, he is quite happy to go unasked into rooms and unless you are rude and basically tell him to get a move on he will spend hours at your home. The whole company is an utter disgrace - and repeatedly sending an engineer who my wife feels extremely uncomfortable with is unacceptable. In process of moving to a competitor firm. Previous compensation offers from them are Amazon voucher offers - not at all interested, we want the money we have spent with them refunded, not on-line shopping!

I had an encounter with a Verisure employee who was extremely rude. She came into a nail salon while I was getting my nails done, and without even apologising started shoving her phone into the face of the nail practitioner who was in the middle of doing my nails… telling her to “stop for a few minutes and watch our security video”. I was completely shocked as this lady was clearly doing her job, busy and focused so I politely mentioned it to the Verisure rep. Not only she didn’t apologise, she started saying I was annoyed cause she interrupted my nails… erm, yes, of course I was! You come to an appointment like this at an agreed time, not while customers are being served. The rude rep also started saying where the “hidden” alarm bells would be placed under the counter, how the fog bomb would be activated etc. all this while me and other customers were in the salon. I feel like this conversation should’ve been done in privacy. The rep was so rude and unapologetic, but also strikingly unprofessional that I’d never trust this company with any sensitive security issues.

I am in a process of cancelling after being with them for 3Years 10 Months, and it is not an easy process. To add to that there seems a 2 months notice period :( Will update here anymore pain i need to go thru later..

One of the worst and dodgy company with what I signed in 2019 and what they said now after 36 months that I cannot keep the devices but in my contract doesn't specify anything for returning devices after 36 months. Avoid this company!!!

A real nightmare to cancel when you move home. Firstly they tell you that you can keep the equipment and that you will get a ‘free upgrade’ when you reinstall as long as it’s in 6 months Had to call again today only to be told that’s not true and we will have to continue to pay a small retainer Asked to cancel and it’s deliberately a difficult process. You can cancel until you speak to someone from the cancellation team, and you can’t speak to the cancellation team directly! Everything is aimed at keeping you in your contract Do yourself a favour and find a better company

Down graded to a bell only alarm, now we can't arm the alarm, and when I rang I was told there was nothing that verisure could do, it seems what we have been sold is not fit for purpose, and as such I think I am entitled to a refund. It is less than a year old.

Avoid by all means! Sales orientated company! Upon making an enquiry with them, they made me aware that I need to pay £100 which is refundable and was provided with a quote too without walking me through what the package consist of. However, I was hoping that the engineer who will be visiting me will shed some lights on their products and what I need and what he recommends. However, what happened is completely different, a rude unprofessional person called me asking to confirm whether I’ll be ready for the setup on the same day of the engineers visit! I mean how come that would work!?!? When I told him obviously I won’t go ahead right away and I need to sleep on it, he said this is how they work! I mean really?!? Selling stuff without showcasing the value? Absolutely disappointed and will never recommend them to anyone! I have asked for a refund and been chasing them. AVOID BY ALL MEANS!!

We didn’t get the original equipment that we asked for (No CCTV camera) and we were told that when we cancel the contract we would own the equipment and could use it as a stand alone alarm system- we cancelled the contract and we’re then informed that we would have to pay £100 for the equipment as it was still owned by Verisure.This is not what we were told by the salesman

We downgraded to a bell only alarm after two months due to a catalogue of poor customer service and engineer actions. Today the alarm won't arm so I contacted Verisure to see if I could get some help. I was told that because of the downgrade they would not be able to help. I explained the equipment was purchased in April 2023 and was not even a year old and surely it was covered by warranty. I was told because I had downgraded the warranty was defunct. On this basis I would never recommend Verisure because they are quick to take your money but less willing to help.

This system is terrible. The equipment freezes and crashes, I get false alarm calls at stupid hours in the morning. I have tried to cancel the contract but have been ignored and tied in by slimy retention and sales techniques

First and foremost, there has been a glaring lack of clarity in providing a detailed breakdown of the costs associated with the Verisure service. At the outset, I was not presented with a comprehensive breakdown of how the costs would accumulate over time, leaving me in the dark about the true financial commitment involved. Furthermore, the cost of the service has been steadily increasing over time, which has come as an unwelcome surprise. This unexpected escalation in expenses has placed an undue financial burden on me, as a customer who was not adequately informed of such potential increases. One of the most disconcerting aspects of my experience was the exorbitant installation cost I was charged, totalling £496. I was taken aback to discover that this substantial fee essentially covered the removal of a 3M sticker and the installation of the equipment. Such a fee for what amounted to a seemingly simple task left me feeling taken advantage of. Lastly, I would like to highlight about my interactions with Verisure's sales representatives which was very disappointing. It appeared that their primary focus was on selling the products, often emphasizing a "fancy" discount, rather than providing transparent and comprehensive information about the terms and costs associated with the service. This left me with a sense of being pressured into a decision without a full understanding of the implications. I believe it is imperative for Verisure to prioritize transparency, fairness, and customer satisfaction in its operations.

Worst company ever! I'm taking them to court for deceiving information and for acting against the customer protection law 2008! If you had problems with them I'd advice you to do the same and report them to the 'Trading Standards' or call Citizen Advice and they will do it for you. They are all scammers stay away from them!

They are very quick to install but super slow to cancel. Trying to cancel for the last 3 months, with no luck, literally no one is responding. It is way too expensive to pay someone to watch cameras. Door and window magnets faulty, due to it alarm has sounded numerous times at night.. creating unnecessary stress to all family. Run away, there are so much more better optionsin the market.

They are installing a DIY alarm and charging arm and leg, poor service. I got rid of them with difficulty and got a proper wired alarm installed.

Horrible experience with Verisure - biggest advice to anyone considering having their services would be to STAY AWAY. Do not believe the Trustpilot reviews (if you write a negative review, you've got to provide further information/details within 3 days or else they take it down - can't stay anonymous can you?!). Once you join them, it's nearly impossible to cancel - lies after lies. Customer support team is an absolute joke - they do not help you at all and most of them are scammers. I've had my experience with a bunch of them, only a very few are genuinely sympathetic but they can't do much to help you out. Alarm installed on the 21/03/2023 it stopped working on 23/08/2023. Rang verysure and was told there was no engineer to fix it for 2and a half weeks ask for a full refund and was told I can't have a refund even though the alarm is not fit for purpose. My advice is stay away

The worst security system ever, a gimmick - This is an assessment of the system after nearly 4 years of ownership. The service appeared okay at first, but it has since become very unsatisfactory for the high price they charge. The alarm has gone off several times due to unidentified problems, not an intruder; one time, they simply blamed the proximity device and replaced it. It simply activated a few times in the early morning hours with no obvious cause. The alarm recently went off when we were away on vacation for an unknown cause, and the alert remained active until we found mobile reception to shut it, which took around 6 hours. In another instance, when the central unit failed to communicate with the monitoring centre, customer service blamed the signal (they send someone over to resolve this and it is kept at the same place it was in earlier with no signal issue) rather than the fact that it had not been monitored for a week; we had no phone calls or visits until we requested them on a call with customer service. These are only a few examples These are just a few examples of poor service that we encountered. Their customer service never admits to the issue and never helps with the necessary procedures to correct it. Instead, continuously look for ways to blame others. Finally chose to walk away from them rather than wait for a live circumstance to discover their poor service to maintaining my family’s security.

ZERO STAR! STAY AWAY!!! DON'T BE FOOLED by Verisure You have probably seen fancy youtube adverts. Please be warned. I feel scammed by a security company! I opened my account in Feb 2022. I paid almost £700 for the devices/Hardware. I was told to keep it for at least 6 months and additionally before cancelling if I wanted to keep the device. At that time, I was told the subscription was for the remote monitoring service. In addition, I initially paid about £35 per month then it was increased to almost £60 per month and air decided to cancel it with the intent to keep the devices as I had kept the subscription for a year and half. Firstly, I contacted the customer service 3 weeks ago and I was informed the cancellation team cannot be called or connected to. They have to call you themselves. I tried over 2 weeks making several calls, Finally someone did last week and the call got truncated. She did not call me back despite knowing your company structure refuses to allow direct access to this team. Furthermore, she informed me that if I wanted to keep my devices, I had to pay another £99. I informed her that when the account was set up, I was informed my the Verisure agent that if I cancelled after September 2022, I did not need any further payments to keep my device and this was part of the reason I considered verisure. I have called the adviser who installed my system and confirmed this was the information I was provided with at setup and he agrees. Verisure makes it almost impossible to cancel a subscription. They installed 2 outdoor cameras, an indoor still picture device and a smoke deterrent device. I was told to keep it for at least 6 months before cancelling if I wanted to keep the devices. The option to keep the devices was a strong determinant in taking their offer only for me to find out the disingenuous behaviour and dishonesty of Verisure now. In addition, I initially paid about £40 per month then it was increased to almost £60 per month and now I decided to cancel it with the intent to keep the devices as I had kept the subscription for a year and half. Firstly, I contacted the customer service 3 weeks ago and I was informed the cancellation team cannot be called or connected to. They have to call you themselves. I tried over 2 weeks making several calls and after 2 weeks no documented attempt to reach me on their file. Finally someone did last week and the call got truncated mid conversation. She did not call me back despite knowing the company structure refuses to allow direct access to this team instead scheduled another random call for the next day. A few minutes after her call and receiving no call back, I called the customer service to ask to be connected back to her to finish the conversation and again I was told they don't allow that. During the incomplete conversation, she informed me that if I wanted to keep my devices, I had to pay another £99. I informed her that when the account was set up, I was informed by the Verisure agent that if I cancelled after September 2022, I ldid not need any further payments to keep my device and this was part of the reason I considered verisure. I have called the adviser who installed my system and confirmed this was the information I was provided with at setup and he agrees. Verisure makes it almost impossible to cancel a subscription. As if the above is not horrible enough, I was informed today when I called asking for an update that even after paying the £99 to keep the devices, I will no longer be able to see any video feeds from the cameras and the hardware will no longer function except a siren. I explained to the agent that I expected the subscription was for remote monitoring and I could not understand that after paying £700 for hardware which was calculated per item installed and Verisure asking for another £99 to keep the devices, they are shameless in telling me that the cameras would only be dummy devices. The agent happily told me that customers pay all these to keep the devices as "deterrent" even though you can no longer see what the camera sees. This appalling for a well publicised "security company" hiding behind fine lines of contract, unclear and frankly false information provided at installation. I understand I will not have remote monitoring but their idea is non-functioning devices even when you pay to "keep the device". Overall, excluding 18months subscription, Verisure has taken about £750 as hardware money including the solar panels upfront, asks for about £100 again to keep the devices and after all this £850 they offer non functional dummy cameras that would be "deterrents" If this whole horrid information was clear up front I would have run far from this company. It has been money wasted on Verisure with nothing to show for almost £2000 after 18 months of "paying for devices and subscription". Purchasing ring cameras would have far outweighed the money wasted on Verisure. From my experience, I consider them summarily a dishonest company no one should be doing business with. In between the 5star reviews here, you start to see a trend similar to my experience. I regret not researching them on Trust pilot before getting into any agreement with them. If you consider all the above acceptable, no one should blindly be fooled into taking up a contract and make an informed decision.
