“The site was easy to navigate but when I swapped to Fuse, only the gas went over. According to Fuse this is an ongoing problem as Uswitch don’t recognise that Fuse’s products aren’t dual fuel.”
“I used Uswitch to change my energy contract and was happy with how that went. However, I was also offered the option to recieve a donation to Easyfundraising for my chosen cause. In spite of clicking to recieve a donation this does not seem to have appeared on the donations page. This may not be the fault of Uswitch.”
“Advertising a deal which is no longer available so when I switched electric company the cost was 3 x what was advertised. Had to switch back to the original company.”
“Once I had selected an option and had given them some of my details, I found I was then trapped in it and could not change my mind - this was before I gave any bank details. I am now worried that company will start deducting payments and I will be in debt to them. The company started badgering me about it not being complete and urging me to continue with the signing up process that I did not want to do.”
“i always used Uswitch energy as it is quick and convinient to switch energy suppliers however last time i used Uswitch it didn't account for the early exit fees and so i paid additional £100 for cancelling my electricity and gas contracts. this made it less worth of a deal.”
“After accepting inferior terms (fixed payments and pay to leave the tariff) in order to get reduced prices, I find that my monthly payments are just the same.”
“I spent over 2 hours looking for a contract phone and Uswitch website offered what looked to be the best deal via Three mobile but then Three advised that this deal is no longer available. Clearly something somewhere is not right.”
“I am a retired energy buyer, I checked out uSwitch for my own gas & electricity. They came up with a 'cheaper' deal where the costs were higher - so much for cheaper deals. Looks to me that they just suggest suppliers who pay them the highest. Doing your own checks are soooo easy, just write down your unit costs & standing charge costs (per day) , ignore your annual usage and if the proposed supplier is offering cheaper rates than you are currently paying then you are on to a winner. if you multiply the unit costs by your annual usage and add on the annual daily standard charges, you will then have your TRUE annual cost.”
