“We are so pleased to have found these doors online from UK Oak, having looked at numerous others. One selling point was the sliding kit was included. They are beautifully made, very substantial i.e. heavy to lift up a flight of stairs! and are perfect for our renovation project as the hallway leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom has limited space and we didn't want swinging doors encroaching on the area. Delivery was as promised, packaging was superb, the price was worth the product. Can't rave enough about them so here are some pictures.”

“They delivered a door with a fault to site and because we didn’t open it immediately and check it they are refusing to replace it. They claim it’s in there terms and conditions but that is not true as there is protection under the Consumer Rights Act. I am proceeding with action at the small claims court.

Thank you for taking your time to leave us a review, I am sorry that you're not entirely happy with your experience.
As previously discussed, as the damage wan't reported to us until over 4 weeks after delivery took place, our hands are tied on being able to replace the door as we're unable to ascertain when the damage occured.
We ask everyone to check over their goods within 48 hours so that if any damage is found, we can replace it for you promptly and while we absolutely do not suggest any intentional damage on your part, we simply cannot verify or accept liability for damage reported after such a long period.

Just a quick note in the meantime: if the door is currently being stored upright and leaning against a wall, we’d recommend laying it flat on a level surface with support across its full length (as advised in our terms and conditions). Storing it upright can sometimes cause movement or bowing, particularly with solid timber products.

“Really poor communication with customers regarding delivery dates and times. After having to contact them on more than one occasion. They finally delivered the three oak doors to the wrong address. And the driver was quite frankly rude and very unhelpful. His response was tough luck either except the doors today or wait another week for delivery to the correct address. Overall a poor experience from them. And sadly I wouldn't recommend using them to any of my customers.”

As explained in our direct communication with you, the issue was caused by an admin error on our side when the order was processed and we do apologise this resulted in your doors being delivered to your billing address. This absolutely shouldn’t have happened, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience it caused. The reason this happened has since been resolved.
Regarding the driver being unhelpful, please know we have raised this to be investigated with the relevant delivery company, we don't tolerate rudeness from anyone associated with us and take feedback such as this very seriously.

“The door is made of several strips of oak glued together to form the frame which has a 4mm oak veneer. Not a solid cut oak door. Tried to complain and told that's how they're made and that they conform to requirements. If your requirement is for a solid cut oak door then avoid!”

I am sorry there has been a misunderstanding on how our solid oak doors are constructed.
Our solid oak doors are made with 100% grade A, American White Oak. As stated on our website, our solid oak doors are made up of multiple pieces of oak that are bonded together to offer a far superior strength and stability.
If we were to use a single piece of oak and carve each door design out of it, it is far more likely to warp and crack. Typically, we use 2/3 pieces of solid oak which are then laminated together. This adds stability and helps prevent with bowing and warping, it is not sustainable or cost effective to use just one piece of oak.
