“Very poor. I ordered vegan options hot chocolate and they sent me the mint one. I tried to get it changed as I am lactose intolerant and they accused me of ordering the wrong one. I know I definitely clicked on the vegan one on the website.”

We understand you have already been in contact with our CS Team about this. Having checked your order we can see you ordered the Options Belgian Chocolate Mint alongside some English Breakfast decaffeinated teabags on 24/09/2024. You would have received an email confirmation at the time of ordering which lists the products ordered, if you had of contacted us at the time of receiving this we could have amended your order before it left our warehouse.

“Disastrous experience. My fault to start with. I have recently moved house and I missed where to change the delivery address. I managed to change the billing address for payment, and mistakenly thought this covered the delivery address too. I realised my error when the order confirmation came. I tried to call your customer services number which was always engaged on the many times I tried to call. I emailed you via your website with my correct address. I heard nothing back from you. I recognise my error, but your customer service process for rectifying errors is dreadful. I hope I hear from you this time.”

Firstly, we would like to apologise for the inconvenience you faced due to the delivery address error. We understand that moving houses can be a hectic time. We deeply regret that you were unable to reach our customer services team when attempting to call us. Our lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and we have several lines so the line being engaged is rarely an issue. Furthermore, we have checked our system and have been unable to locate any correspondence via email from you, in the instance that you have any issues going forward our email address is twinings.direct@twinings.com.

“I can't give Twinings more than 3 when they have created two wonderful teas (Dark Caramel and Dark Mint) and then discontinued them - at least I assume that Dark Caramel, no longer available in shops, is going to go the same way as Dark Mint. I'm baffled by why these products haven't been given more time to embed and build popularity. There is nothing else on the market like the Dark Mint and little that is at all similar to the Dark Caramel (just biscuit flavour etc).”

Our Dark tea range was a limited range and as you are aware, most of the teas have already been discontinued. Dark Caramel can be purchased from us directly for the time being but the stock we hold is limited and once it depletes this product will no longer be available in our offerings. We will be sure to pass on your feedback regarding the Dark Mint & Dark Caramel to our Product Development Team.

“Since at least 2018 if not earlier, I have been buying Lapsang Souchong from you and getting it shipped to me in Western Australia at great expense. Then without any advance notice you dropped that product from your range and replaced it with Distinctively Smoky, which I then had to accept as the only alternative. Then again without notice you decided to terminate Distinctively Smoky, from a purely commercial motive of not enough profit. I do not think a customer's opinion actually means anything significant to Twinings. This is just a marketing exercise.”

Due to some challenges with sourcing the blend, we had to make the difficult decision to delist Lapsang Souchong and have now sold through all our remaining stock. Our Master Blenders then created another smoke flavoured tea called Distinctively Smoky and although we never take the decision to delist a product lightly, but unfortunately when consumer demand is low, it is not viable for us to continue producing it. We’ll be sure to let our Product Development Team know of your interest in these 2 blends as they do take consumer feedback into account when developing future products.
