“I started IGCSE Maths with Sarah around February when my confidence was in pieces after a rough mock, and over the last three months she has rebuilt not just my grades but the way I approach problems, because every lesson starts with a 10 minute warm up on the exact skill that tripped me the week before, then we move into targeted past paper questions, and she gets me to talk through each step so I stop doing that thing where I jump to an answer and lose method marks, and she has this folder system for Edexcel topics that makes revision feel calm, plus she sends me short voice notes after lessons with three tiny tasks for the week, and I actually do them because they are realistic, and when my school switched to higher tier she did not make it a big drama, she just broke down the gaps into bite sized goals, and now my teacher is using my solutions as examples which would have sounded like a joke in January, so if you need someone who is organised, kind, and quietly relentless, Sarah is brilliant.”

“I’ve been working with Leena for IB Biology HL since the start of Year 2, and I can honestly say she’s the reason the subject finally “clicked” for me her sessions are a mix of concept maps, quick-fire recall, and exam-style questions so I’m never just passively listening, and she keeps a running checklist against the IB spec so we can see exactly what we’ve banked and what still needs attention. The biggest game-changer has been her IA guidance. She didn’t write anything for me (obviously), but she helped me refine my research question, plan a doable method, and structure my analysis so it wasn’t just a data dump, and when I hit a wall with evaluation she nudged me with targeted prompts that made me think like an examiner. she spotted that I rush long-answer questions, so we now do “thinking aloud” drills and she has me underline command terms before I write, sounds basic, but it stopped me from bleeding marks. outside of lessons she sends short voice notes with reminders (e.g., “practice chi-squared tonight, 20 min max”), which weirdly keeps me accountable without feeling pressured; I used to dread genetics and ecology, now they’re the topics I score highest on in past papers. Leena is firm about doing homework but also kind when life gets messy, and that balance has kept me consistent for months. if you’re doing IB Bio HL and want someone who actually teaches you how to think like a scientist, not just memorise, she’s the one.”
