“Paediatric course was ok but some of it was out of date, for example burns should be cooled for 20mins and not 10. AEDs can be used by anyone and you don't need training to use them. The other thing I found odd was frostbite was on the course. I teach outdoor first aid and it would definitely be more relevant there than on a paediatric course”

“The training materials for Paediatric First Aid were thorough and I soon learned how to turn off the digital voice to help me read them as her intonation was annoying - as were the typos and inaccurate grammar. (how seriously can you take the message to "Call Nine hundred and ninety nine"?) It must be difficult designing an online quiz to test all that knowledge but after a couple of units it became clearly a case of Name that mnemonic - what is the A in CLAP etc. Fast forward 3 hours and the hardest part was requesting a certificate without additional payment.”
