“Prior to placing an order I called to ask about a sizing and fixing query, very helpful advise. Delivery was as said and arrived securely packed. Fitting was straightforward too with fixings guidelines on line. Happy customer.”

“The product itself is beautiful. Well cut and finished. Nice cracking through the wood. Really completed our fireplace and absolutely love it! Thank you! Only criticism is related to communication. I ordered the item on (or around 3rd December). Was completely fine about the product not being ready before Xmas, but got an email on 4th Jan (or so) telling me it was only just going into production. Turned out this was not the case and received the item a few days later. Maybe a comms error only.”

“We ordered a 6 foot shelf and it is amazing quality, we did have to contact the company to get another bracket, as the 3 supplied weren't sufficient. We also had to purchase alternative screws as we were putting the shelf onto a stud wall rather than a plasterboard wall. But both of these queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the customer service team, so we have been very impressed with the company as a whole.”

Hi James, thanks for your review. The shelves you have purchased are for solid masonry walls or can also be fixed into timber studs as long as they are strong and sturdy, each customer has a different wall type so sometimes require different fixings. We are happy to hear you were very impressed with our company as a whole and we hope to see you again soon!

Hi Nicola, thanks you for your review, we are glad you are happy with your Oak shelf. Our shelves are kiln dried but please ensure you keep your radiator on a minimal heat to avoid any movement :)

“Beautiful shelves. Excellent customer service! Even two years after I ordered these I called up to replace some brackets as we are moving house and they have sent us out some new ones at an extremely reasonable price! Will definitely use Traditional Beams again”

“Traditional Beams have proved to be an excellent company to deal with. Very clear and informative website. Ordering on-line was simple and effective. Communication on confirmation and delivery was good. The product when it arrived was exactly what we expected. Fitting was not complex but required precision fittings supplied. Now in place on our new fireplace and looks fantastic.”

“Bought a lovely walnut mantelpiece and corbels - arrived on time, in good condition, and with pre-drilled holes and clear fittings. Looks great now it's up - am so pleased with the way it finishes the fireplace recess.”

“The beam is perfect for our fireplace, communication was good, courier awful left parcel in the rain all day after throwing over my fence ! Despite being asked to leave in my porch !”
