“It has been a lifetime ambition of mine to move to more sustainable energy and after several failed attempts with other companies, TCL were recommended to us by a neighbour. From the start, they were excellent, both Simon and David were knowledgeable and professional and there was no pressure-selling. They recommended a ten-panel system with GivEnergy 9.5kwH battery and inverter. The job was completed in two parts, because of a delay in the DNO sleeving our power cable, but their team (Jack and Matt) were diligent and very hard-working and the system was up and running by around 4 in the afternoon. The after-care has also been excellent, - we would certainly recommend TCL.”

“TCL Solar are such a great find. They are a honest family run business. In my search for solar, I saw six companies (far too many). Simon came out to see us and he just wanted what was best for us, not trying to over sell us anything unlike other companies we had seen. We placed our order and the installation happened 3 weeks later. David helped us with all the paperwork, including the SEG application. All in all, it was such a great experience to deal with the two brothers. If you are looking for solar, look no further than TCL Solar. We really felt looked after.”

“The guys did a great job from start to finish. Simon came to visit to give a quote rather than relying on Google maps like the competitors did. The guys on the day turned up on time and stayed late to get it done in 1 day rather than having to come back. There was a slight problem with the strength of WiFi sending the signal to export but the electritian came back to hard wire it in. Definately reccomend to others”

“I encountered TCL Solar based from a recommendation from a friend. First contact was a text message to Simon, who quickly arranged a call to discuss my needs. Then followed an in person visit and survey, nothing was being pushed down my throat, unlike other companies that didn't even bother to visit, yet provided quotations! Simon certainly did not put on the "hard sell"! Once Simon and I agreed on requirements, dates and price, David got in contact to arrange delivery and installation. He kept me informed about delivery dates and time windows all the way. Both Simon and David were both very helpful throughout, provided answers to any questions almost immediately, and come back to me with the answers for the more tricky questions or revised quotes. Including a couple of minor issues i've encountered since (nothing to do with their installation) The installation team worked tirelessly on the hottest day of the year (so far) to get the job done, and it's completed to an extremely high standard, everything is neat and routed properly, all packaging cleared away and all mess cleaned at the end of the day. I absolutely will (and already have) recommended TCL Solar to friends in the future!”

The communication and the customer service Is first class, they are always available if I have any questions and the icing on the cake was that David helped us with all the paperwork, including the SEG forms which we really appreciate as they aren’t the easiest forms to fill in. “I reviewed many different companies before settling on TCL Solar, whose reviews were exceptional. They understood our requirements and specified a system which would not only satisfy our current energy needs but would also cope with any future needs. they are such a gem of a family run business and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solar system.”

“Simon and David both went above and beyond to thoroughly explain everything we needed to know before our solar panels were installed and all of the costings allowing us to make an informed decision without any pressure. Before TCL Solar we previously had 2 other companies around to give us quotes and to explain the process, but these were not nearly as reasonable with costings and appreciated Simon and David's family orientated approach. Simon and David made regular contact, talking us through the process and answering any questions we had; nothing was ever too much and they were both always extremely professional yet friendly. The roofer and the electrician that installed the solar panels were excellent and extremely tidy, at the end of the installation they both checked we were happy with their work and also went through the workings of the equipment and apps. Simon and David then checked in after all the fitting to make sure we were satisfied and whether any support was needed getting onto the correct tariffs with the energy company. Overall we have been extremely happy and would 100% recommend them if anyone were looking to get solar panels.”

“A pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Simon and Dave both very friendly and proactive. No pressure sell and great communication throughout. Scaffolding was up and down within a week. Fitting was done efficiently with minimal disruption. The guys did a really neat job, were very professional, and even managed to improve upon the original design/layout when they arrived on the first day to do on-roof measurements. We’re very pleased with our solar installation by TCL and would recommend them to anyone considering the investment.”

“Very satisfied with survey, estimate and installation. Our system has been in a week and pleased so far with Recommended system, all appears to be working well. Would recommend to anyone thinking of installing Solar Panels. Not the cheapest we got 3 quotes, but this company seemed to know what they were talking about.”

“TCL Solar were great from getting the intial quote and system design, through the install and post install care. Simon was very flexible in getting back to us to organise a quote and was happy to accommodate an early evening appointment given our own work commitments. Simon explained how the system was going to be installed, what it included and was very knowledgeable in answering any of our queries. A quote was provided quickly and was very reasonable when compared to other quotes I had been given. TCL offered the Solar iBoost water heater which no other company that gave me quotes offered or even mentioned. TCL offered very quick installation dates (4 weeks from when the quote was accepted), I was unfortunately unable to accommodate installation on the first dates suggested and again TCL were flexible and offered more appropriate dates. The scaffolding went up on day 1 and by the afternoon of day 2 the team had installed 18 solar panels, a Giv Energy inverter, a Giv Energy battery, the Solar iBoost and all necessary bird protection, cabling and fuse boxes. The job has been very tidy, professional and looks extremely smart. The Giv Energy battery and inverter have worked seemlessly since install (1 week of writing this review). The app is very intuitive and provides all the energy data you could need. The only minor setback is that the Giv Energy system was struggling to connect to my Mesh WiFi system, but no issue for me as the main router was close enough that I didn't need to connect via the mesh system. David followed up the installation to ensure everything had gone smoothly, provided all necessary paperwork and certificates and included simple step by step instructions on how to apply for the SEG with Octopus energy which was very much appreciated. Overall TCL Solar have provided a great Solar System at a reasonable price with excellent service. Simon and David have been great from start to finish and it has been clear that they strive for customer satisfaction. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you TCL Solar!”

“It’s been one year since TCL Solar installed our solar and battery system. I have to say it’s exceeded our expectations. It’s generating far more than we were estimated. Simon & David have been absolutely brilliant, keeping in touch and making sure all is well.
