“Extremely happy with both the installation and Friendly service from TCL. Unlike other companies, we were given both space and time, over others that called (hounded us) daily. Both David and Simon were as good as their word. The sale and installation went smoothly, and the installers did a great job of the installation, very tidy, ensuring we knew and agreed with the placement of both the panels, inverter and batteries. Due to a winter installation, the system was commissioned the next day and the Engineers ensured that the system was error-free, and our mobiles were able to monitor the system. The installation from agreement to install was just over two weeks, and we were never chased for payments. We decided on TCL as they were more local to us, but we were quoted more for fewer panels, in the end. We went for sixteen panels (in case we purchase a EV) and we plan to add a second battery already too. in all, on fair to bright winter days, we have gone from using £5 per day, down to about a pound!!!! (the system should pay for itself within 5 to six years.) WE'RE VERY VERY HAPPY. THANKS GUYS.”

“After experiencing a number of companies offering quotes for installing solar, it was a relief to get in touch with TCL. There was no sales pitch, Simon and David give confidence that they know what they are doing and help find a solution that worked for us. All items were delivered on time and as advised ahead of the installation date. Matt and Jack were our installers and they were excellent - could not rate them highly enough. They arrived on time, outlined what they would be doing, treated our house as if it was their own, worked incredibly hard whilst here and when finished were meticulous in clearing up. From start to finish TCL have delivered and we are delighted with the service and installation. Matt helped install the various apps and explained how they work, which for a Luddite was invaluable too! Great company and would highly recommend!”

“Recommended to contact TCL Solar from a family member. Simon carried out a very straightforward survey making everything easy to understand, the price was competitive compared to the other companies. David completed the DNO application and helped with the SEG process. My solar and battery system has now been installed for 6 months and has made a big difference to our energy costs.”

“Feeling guilty about my carbon footprint, I was contemplating solar PV. A friend recommended TCL Solar after they installed a system at his house. So I contacted Simon, who came promptly and gave me a quote on the spot. After doing some research and thinking about it for a few days, I decided to go ahead. Two weeks later, on a Friday, Watson Scaffolding turned up and erected scaffolding front and back. Most of the components were also delivered on Friday too. The inverter was missing, so David chased it up and kept me informed of progress. The following Monday the inverter arrived as did two installers from Green Smart. They installed the 14 panel system in a day. They did a very neat job and didn’t leave any mess. The scaffolding was taken down on Tuesday. David did all the paperwork for the necessary permissions and talked me through the process for obtaining payment for exported energy. As a chartered electrical engineer, I was impressed with the quality of the components and the workmanship. It’s too early to report on the performance of the system but, so far, it seems to be working well. Would I use TCL again? Definitely. They were friendly, communicated well and organised a good team to do the installation. It might have been possible to get a cheaper system but the speed and efficiency was worth any extra cost.”

“The system of 22 panels and a battery was installed in December 2022. When Simon visited he was completely honest that the number of panels would not cover our high electric use and there was no pressure sales. We eventually agreed on a different package but that did not alter the price. The installers were very professional and it was installed very quickly. There was a problem with the WiFi dongles but that was due to my poor internet which was eventually sorted out. Having now used the system through part of a winter and the summer, I am happy to say it has provided more electric than I was expecting, so all working fine. The price provided was very reasonable and I would have no hesitation in recommending the business.”

“To TCL Solar Simon & Dave. I got three quotes for my solar panel. TCL Solar was the one I picked. They booked me in 2 weeks later. The scaffold went up on Friday. The solar panels were fitted on Monday I had 14 panels, eight on the back and six on the front of my house. Everything went well and straight away I noticed electrical consumption had dropped down. They completed the insulation on the same day tidied up and made everything good. I was surprised when the scaffold was taken down the next day on Tuesday. As other houses in the street were up for one and sometimes two weeks. Well done to Simon and David and your team of men work very hard clean and tidy and very polite I will recommend you to anybody who asks me how I'm getting on with my solar panel. “We heard about TCL Solar from a neighbour who highly recommended them. Our experience thoroughly backs her high praise. From initial survey through to installation and post installation paperwork, we always felt in safe hands. David and Simon cared about getting the right system for us. They answered all our questions honestly and patiently! They very promptly returned our calls and we’re sure they still will if the need arises. The installation team were excellent too - always making sure we were happy - doing a good job clearly mattered to them. We have been entirely happy with TCL Solar and cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“From the first visit to our home on July 24th, we had the impression that TCL was the right company. The previous two didn't show such knowledge and approach to the customer. Simon is a nice guy whose knowledge helped us choose the right setup for our photovoltaic system and his brother David did all the paperwork. Everything happened very quickly and we were kept informed about everything. On Friday 4th August in 9 hours everything was installed by the amazing team Matt, Jack and Sonny. They did everything as we wanted it to be done. Everything was done precisely with due diligence and attention to detail. We are very impressed and extremely pleased with their work. Thank you gentlemen for everything and we recommend you to all our friends. Thank you....”

“This is the second time we have used TCL Solar for our solar installation and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From quote to survey to installation, everything was so easy and quick! A family run business, Simon came out to do the survey and explain everything on a Monday, the quote came from his brother David who also sends all the info regarding installation with regular updates for what is going to happen and when, and the installation was completed within 10 days - absolutely brilliant service!”

“From my first contact to complete full installation, TLC has been incredibly professional, understanding , patient and friendly. I will honestly give them off the chart billion stars!!! Simon who deals with sales is very knowledgeable , always ready to explain in detail any questions I had on my mind. He will guide in choosing products that will last and won't give you any headaches a few years down the line. David who deals with the operational side of the business is very reliable and won't promise what he can't deliver. David is always ready to answer any questions you have on your mind. “TCL Solar is run by brothers David and Simon. Simon visited us and listened to what we wanted, answering all our questions. No pushy sales or limited offers just great advice, simple and straightforward. Simon and David were on hand for all our questions and responded promptly putting together a great solution which we felt was good value. We liked their approach and opted to have our installation through them. David took us through the process keeping in touch to inform us when the kit would arrive, when the teams were scheduled and when the paperwork would come through. The team onsite were sub-contractors but work regularly with TCL Solar and spoke highly of David and Simon. Our installation went without any issues. The work was very professional and to a high standard and before the end of the day were we generating electricity. Initially, we did not want to get into giving back to the grid but Simon & David explained they would provide all the documents and it’s a simple process. It took around 5 mins to register following the instructions David provided and uploading the documents required. It’s another small payback which was a real bonus so grateful to them. All our paperwork was provided within two days of the installation followed up by a call from David to explain everything. Our system has been up and running for a couple of weeks and we cannot be more pleased with it. My neighbours are all now looking to get on the bandwagon so we will be suggesting TCL Solar to them.”

“Cannot fault TCL Solar....from consultation and work done from start to finish was excellent and very efficient workers. Three days everything was all done and dusted and couldn't tell they had been. The heat and conditions did not phase them one bit. Great bunch of guys. Very quick and efficient would recommend to anyone to use them.”
