“We visited Tottington Motor Company to view their range of motorhomes. We were welcomed and shown a variety of models plus some we hadn't considered which opened our our eyes to other possibilities. Jay our salesman was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us, nothing was too much trouble and was able to answer our numerous questions. A few days later after meeting them again at the NEC Motorhome Show, we returned to purchase our Autotrail motorhome. Collection was effortless and the friendly support and service was maintained throughout the entire process. Nothing was too much trouble and there was never any pressure to buy. We felt very comfortable buying from Tottington and all the team that we dealt with.”

Mark, your review makes no sense whatsoever and is not related to our business, the image shows a lunchbox, we sell new and used Motorhomes and Campervans. Perhaps you can expand on your review if you are unhappy with our service in anyway by making contact on 01204 882211. “I’ve been using TMC since 2013 and I have 100% confidence in their service and their trustworthiness. It’s very difficult to find a company that you know will be honest about the work needed (or not!) and it makes it much easier to swallow the occasional big bill when you know it’s legitimate.”

“We had a fantastic holiday but what happened after left a bitter taste. Did everything right took out extra insurance, drove carefully, parked in safe places. Brought the motorhome back checked in safe & sound all ok signed off. Then requested our deposit back, then informs us there was damage on the vehicle on the roof on the drivers side. You'd physicall have to drive into something for this to happen which I did not. Did you know your insurance does not cover the roof of the motor home, who would have thought! Before you take & bring back a motorhome from TMC make sure you get your own video eventence of all the vehicle roof incuded. Has this happended to anyone else I'd be interested to hear.”

Dear customer, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, however I feel it is important to put this into context given the lengthy communication between us. It is acknowledged that upon handing the motorhome over to you, there was no damage reported by our preparation team or by yourself when you collected it. The robust checkout procedure was adhered to and as you were driving away from our depot all of the supporting images had been emailed to you. At the point of your return from hire on Saturday the 16th of August 2025, one of our team completed the initial check in and from the photographs taken during this, damage could clearly be seen. The area of damage is the front section of the roof, the gelcoat is marked and has been split. As there was no such damage upon the initial handover, it is clear that it occurred whilst you were out on hire, and not on our premises as suggested. We carry out an initial check of all our vehicles upon arrival back at our depot. All the appliances and bodywork are checked fully upon preparation for the next hire, in this case first thing Monday the 18th of August 2025. Regardless of this, the damage could still be seen. We contacted you in relation to the damage. Upon this, you responded “If you can give us video/picture evidence dating 11/08/25 before we collected that there was no damage only then will I accept liability.” We sent to you the requested photographic evidence, which included images of the motorhome with no damage to the roof during your checkout. You still denied all knowledge of this damage. We would ask that you take responsibility for the damage caused whilst our motorhome was on hire to you. Given the extent of the damage there is no doubt that we will receive a third party claim for damage to property in due course. We will equally check and provide the tracker data to try ascertain where this damage has occurred. Please refer to our terms and conditions of hire, they are clear in relation to overhead damage. “Excellent motorhome rental! Van was perfect. Drove well, fully equipped and easy to use. Plenty of space for paddleboards, toys, luggage, games and a few clothes. Handover was straightforward and the return also. Good communication and support on offer if needed.”

“Had an MOT and service done with no issues and happy with service and costs so hoped I had found a new garage I could trust to look after my camper van. Unfortunately when I asked to book the van in to diagnose and fix a simple issue with a parking sensor I was told they do not carry out that type of work and was recommended a garage in Bolton, miles out of my way. It would seem the garage is only interested in the easy money and is not prepared to look after customers between MOT and service intervals. I have since then had MOTs, servicing and other repairs carried out by another local garage on the van and two other family cars.”

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re happy we were able to carry out the initial MOT and servicing for your campervan and that you were pleased with it. It is true that we do not carry out parking sensor work. Parking sensors are an aftermarket fitment, and from our own experience when one of the 4 fail a full new set is often needed. When you told us about the related issue, we informed you of the above and recommended you visit either an auto electrician, or a manufacture approved garage for Ford that was 5 miles away from us. I apologise that this didn’t end up being what you wanted, and I'm glad you were able to find a different garage that was more suitable for you. The fact that we do not carry out parking sensor work does not mean that we do not care for our customers in-between services.
