I used 4MCB Medium Chestnut Brown Semi-Permanent Hair Colour and the final result was more purplish-red than brown. Is there anything I can do?

Thank you for bringing your recent experience to our attention, we are very sorry to hear that you have not achieved the desired result when using Tints of Nature. We are dedicated to our customers and consider all customer feedback of utmost importance. Medium Chestnut Brown does have a predominant warm tone so it can create mahogany tones, especially when applied to hair with natural warmth. The beauty of the Semi-Permanent is that they fade out with every wash, they will usually last between 6 and 12 washes. To fade the colour more quickly we would advise the use of our Clarify Shampoo, alternatively you could carry out a saline solution which is a simple yet effective treatment to help fade colour. Please could you email us so that we have your details on happyhair@tintsofnature.com? We can then send you the relevant information directly.

Sadly I was allergic to this product too. It obviously does contain some chemicals. Very disappointed

Hi Claire, we are sorry to hear about your experience and would like to assist you as best as we can. Firstly we need to know whether or not you carried out a skin sensitivity test 48 hours prior to colouring? Do you have any known allergies to any of the ingredients listed in the product? Unfortunately at present it is impossible to have a 100% natural and organic hair colour other than henna however the ingredients in our hair colours are 95% naturally derived and our Permanent and Semi-Permanent hair colour kits contain 60% or more certified organic ingredients. You could have experienced a reaction from any ingredient within the product, whether or not it is wholly natural, just as someone may be allergic to peanuts for example. It is important that we investigate this with you further. We have your email address and will make contact you in this way, however if you are able to email us at happyhair@tintsofnature.com with your telephone contact details that would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Luisa. We are very sorry to hear this. Feedback like this makes us sad and is very unusual as our hair colours have been formulated with natural and organic ingredients to be gentle and actually nourish and moisturise the hair during colouring process. There could however be a number of reasons why you have experienced this, such as the condition of the hair prior to colouring each time, using shampoo’s post colouring which contain salts that actually dehydrate and strip hair of colour and even hair straighteners which can also cause colour fade. It is also very important to use the clarifying shampoo contained in the pack before colouring to ensure you remove any product build up. We would really like to be able to help and advise you further. We have your email address and will make contact with you via this method. Alternatively if you would like us to call you please email your contact details to happyhair@tintsofnature.com or you can reach us via telephone on 01590 613490. Many thanks
