“I tried to clean the bottom of my dog's bowl which had bits stuck on it. I tried 3x with different cleaners and your loofah scrubber was useless. Came off easy peasy with a new green scratchy thing. I'm all for not using plastics but would like a workable alternative.”

Thank you for trying us. Sorry, this was your experience. The Loofah fibres are naturally coarse and have good scrubbing power, yet gentle enough for non-scratch pans. If you require more heavy-duty cleaning, we suggest our copper scourers or washing-up brush alongside.

“These sponges are meant to last longer than regular ones but our first one lasted less than a week before it broke in half. Not sure I would buy these again.”

“I accidentally ordered to my previous address, as the autofill details picked up by the site were not up to date. I noticed my mistake immediately and tried to contact the company by phone, chat bot and email. I then received a response 2 days later to say the following: "Thank you for your order with us. I did check and unfortunately, it looks like it was already dispatched 🙈 and will be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be refused and when it comes back we can resend it for you. Would you like us to change the address to the Reading one on our system?" I understand that it was my mistake, and I tried to immediately fix it. But because there was no mechanism for me to amend the order, I am now out of pocket, someone else has some presumably great cleaning products, and Seep have lost a potentially loyal customer. Just to be clear, this is a 1 star rating for cusstomer service. They were perfectly polite (minus the emoji) but not offering me any way of fixing the mistake means I won't be buying again.”

We are sorry that you have had this experience. We are still a small company and do try our very best to catch wrong addresses. I know we tried to recall the parcel but unfortunately couldn't and also were waiting for a reply from you so that we could try and fix this.

“The ad was full of promise but the reality is very different. The sponges aren’t flexible enough to clean into small corners or crevices of food storage box lids. The scourer isn’t rough enough to clean baked on food. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend this product.”

Sorry you have personally found this. They do get softer the more you use them, or to speed this up you can pop them in the washing machine or dishwasher. We also run our bamboo brush or copper scourers alongside to help with stubborn baked on food.

“Sponge disintegrated after two weeks of use. The loofah part which was meant the a scouring pad fell of first. We had thought the first sponge was faulty but the second was even worse. The overall price is already high and doubles if we need to change to a new sponge after a fortnight instead of the month as advertised. The only good thing about it is that it composts - albeit too quickly!”

“I was really disappointed with this product. After watching the videos on social media I was convinced this would be better than my usual washing up sponge. However they are not effective at all. They hardly create any soapy spuds, making it difficult to wash dishes. I like that they are compostable but that's about it.”

Thats a shame as you should be able to use less washing up liquid. We do say to rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up.

“Hi, Very disappointed customer. The package came inside another box twice the size. For a company selling eco friendly products this is not eco friendly. Used product first time just to do some washing up (no excessively dirty dishes needing a lot of scrubbing) and bits of the sponge side of the pad started to come off. After a week there is no sponge left. Very poor quality. Mary”

“I stupidly did not know you could order less than the 12 pack of sponge/scourer by going to Amazon. I debated a long time investing in a years supply. After the first use it started to disintegrate, how could you put that in a washing machine! The sponge and scourer are separating after a week of use. After a few more uses the scourer side has stained so badly it is going black. At £25 this was an expensive mistake while I was just trying to do my bit for the planet.”

“The scourers are don't fit in the hand very well and aren't as flexible as the normal ones on the market. The ratio of hard luffa to soft sponge is not right. I wouldn't dare use them for anything other than large pots and pans. So good luck on compostable product but they are not for me.”

Hello We are sorry to hear that you feel like this. The sponge scourers need to be dried out before they can be packaged and dispatched out to customers. So we advise to rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up, the sponges will become more soft upon continued use with washing up liquid. They will also soften up with usage so the longer you use it for, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times.

“I'm sorry to say that, in my experience, these sponges are pathetic. I had heard good things about Seep and so took the plunge with the "1 year supply" option. Whilst the sponges are very soft and nice to use at first, within a week the loofah scourer side was in shreds and unuseable. It also wasn't up to the task of shifting stubborn food (e.g. cheese), whereas other loofah/eco sponges I've used have done so without too much trouble. The loofah layer is too soft and thin, and this has been the case with others in my pack, so it wasn't just the one. I thought I'd try them for general cleaning, e.g. the bathroom, but even after a few uses the same thing is happening. Very disappointing, and I'll be going back to the other eco sponges that are actually up to the job.”

“As an environmentally conscious individual, I strive to eliminate plastic from my household. However, I have encountered a challenge with eco-friendly scourers, as they lack the efficacy of their plastic counterparts in removing dried dirt, even after prolonged scrubbing. This poses a practical concern, especially when immediate cleaning is not feasible.
