“The communication was dreadful an offer was made and withdrawn the day before completion. Reluctantly stayed with them to allow them to find a buyer was then mislead with the resale value. Luckily we had the time to wait but if you are in a rush and are desperate for the money I wouldn't bother!”
Firstly thank you for your feedback Rachael, we always aim to offer the best possible service to our customers and feel saddened that we have not met your expectations.
The Property Buying Company initially offered you £40,000 for your property to which you were happy with and agreed to, after carrying out surveys it was apparent that the property was valued significantly lower than we had both expected and we were unable to proceed at no cost to yourself. Rather than withdrawing completely we asked you if you would like us to find you a buyer, to which you agreed. we managed to find a buyer who was happy to pay more than we offered (£1000 more than we originally agreed)
Yes, it did take slightly longer due to the buyer having to carry out extra legal works which was out of our and your control. At no point with the buyer were you tied into any contract and you had the option to sell to someone else at any point, you also was not liable for any costs during any of the process as they were taken care of by The Property Buying Company and once completed you received £1000 more than you had hoped for, receiving £41,000 rather than £40,000
We apologies it took a little extra time, we understood at the time you were pleased with the extra money your received.
