“Initial contact , price and efficiency excellent to begin with all let down by their delivery company. After a delay on the order being shipped out to the carriers we were given 3 dates when it could arrive, the next day the day after that, failing that it will be Monday. Monday came and the courier text with a time, no problem we would be in all day which we were but no courier. Finally a text to advise that delivery was attempted, card left and to make another arrangement. As a compromise I had to pick it up from a local post office as the courier did not want to take the time to find my remotely located property. Very poor delivery service and unfortunately despite your prices being very competitive we will not be using The drinks Company again purely based on the delivery fiasco.”

“I've paid extra for 1-2 Day delivery. I've placed order in Wednesday I've been waiting till Friday 4.50 am. Thank you to girl in reception. Because of her I finally received my order at 8 am Saturday”

“I’m sure the gin will be fine as have had it before but was disappointed to find the glasses had advertising in them. Wasn’t sure about the pattern but the print is decidedly naff!!!”

“web page is a little misleading-made a purchase only to find out after transaction was completed that your company does not ship to the USA. I visited the UK last month and bought itiems in local stores and had them shipped home to USA with no problem!!!! what gives with YOUR shipping DEPT.? Bob Rehberg”

“Irish Mist is an excellent and well known liqueur and The Drinks Basket offers it at a competitive price. Despatch was prompt an the box arrived within 48 hours. However,, upon opening the box it was seen that the wrong liqueur had been sent and the company was immediately informed. They were very apologetic and undertook to send the correct bottles the next day on a 24 hour delivery. They did not arrive the next day, and when queried, the company explained that the despatch department had put their own address on the box instead of mine, and that it had been delivered straight back to the company. Again, my order was promised for delivery the next day, and this time the delivery was on time and with the correct contents. So they work very hard to keep the customer happy, but at this stage there seem to be quite a lot of teething problems in the packing and despatch departments. Having said all of this, I would give them another chance in the future..”

“I ordered a number of items, but was unable to track items as I hadn't registered with the website - I was just 'a guest.' I then registered but my account showed 'no order history.' I then phoned and emailed and asked if my parcel had been despatched and eventually was told that Royal Mail had delivered to wrong sorting office and misplaced my parcel. I was asked if I wanted a refund, or the package resent. I asked for it resent and it arrived the next day. However, two of the items I ordered were not sent, and other items sent instead - despite the invoice showing my original order. I emailed again but am yet to receive a response. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be too bothered about the delay, or even the wrong items received but they were meant to be part of a gift pack I was making up for some friends who were visiting from The States. As a result of the delay and wrong items my gift pack is not complete and looks a bit empty! I am unsure I will use the site again.”

“Good value, but packaging could have been better. The bottle pack was wrapped in bubble-wrap but it could move around freely inside the outer box. Still, it made it without damage.”

“I wasn't very happy that the website stated I had no orders and when I sent an email about this didn't get a response. In addition the parcel tracking system said my parcel was due midday on the 9th but it didn't arrive. I wasted several hours staying in. Thankfully the parcel did arrive the next day.”

“My experience would have been better if the free bottles I was gifted were put in the order as confirmed by drinks basket in an email to me. I would now like Prosecco to be sent to make up the difference Many thanks Simon”

“Unfortunately the delivery instructions I ascribed on your website did not transfer to Parcelforce's delivery instructions, so it took 3 attempts and a lot of wasted time getting the carton through my front door. Other than that the website is very easy to use.”
