About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“Lovely quality blanket, perfect for snoozy Sunday afternoons on the sofa. My only down point was that the blanket I choose wasn't blue as in it's description or picture,it's more of a teal colour ,so just be extra sure when picking your colour. As I purchased the blanket during a full lockdown, it didn't feel safe going out to the post office to return it. Still lovely a colour and pefect for the sofa. I would buy again from The British Blanket Company.”

“I am delighted to say that the service and quality of your company and blankets are excellent. I love the colour and feel of the semaphore throw and the yellow “grey wagtail” blanket which I received quickly and well packaged. Also interesting to read that your blankets are woven by William McNutt in Donegal very near my childhood home!”

“Lovely family run business, always such quick service and excellent quality products. I researched to be sure I was buying ethical wool products and was impressed with the level of information on the provenance/ethics of the wool. Great also to be able to buy British made products!!”

“I was not really all that pleased with the blanket I bought from The British Blanket Company and I will not be using them again. Too much excess fluff coming of it and the sides were not finished off correctly. I got a reply to my email which, basically, just said sorry for their lack of product control.”

“What a great find this company is! I bought a lovely herringbone full sized throw for my favourite armchair. It’s beautiful quality and looks really smart when draped. Even better over my knees to keep me warm - very comfy. I chose the mustard colour and will definitely buy a second at some point. No problems with delivery etc.”
