“I was dubious to take an online course but when I finally went ahead I was very glad that I did. The modules were interesting and not too tedious or long. There is ample time to finish this course with no stress. It was very easy and simple to follow and I really enjoyed what I was taught. The classroom time was very informative as well and the teacher made it fun and interesting. You are given 6 months to finish this course but I managed it in 3 months and I didn't study daily or vigorously all. I advise anyone who is interested in teaching not to think twice and to go ahead.”

“The course is well structured and perfectly presented.It is easy to follow,interesting and understandable. Even for a person who is technology challenged can follow the course very easily.The assignments at the end of the course are challenging but interesting as they cover all the work one has learnt throughout the course.The course teaches you the methods of how to deal with every aspect of the language and how to develop the language skills of your students.I have realized after registering the course that in my entire teaching experience of being an English teacher, I have been using old and difficult method of teaching. The course has developed my skills of teaching and I am now confident to can look for EFL teaching positions anywhere in the world. I would really recommend the course to every teacher who is teaching the language.”

“Judy Nel was my tutor in Port Elizabeth, she was such a treat! She was patient, fun and willing to help wherever she could. The 20 hour prac days can be very long and taxing, yet she went out of her way to make it fun for her students. I feel like the 20 hours should be shortened and the days extended. I thoroughly enjoyed the practical days.”

“The TEFL course made me understand and appreciate my own language which was an aspect of the course I hadn't expected. It inspired me to teach in a fun and interactive way that I believe was missing from my own language learning at school. The combination of offline and online learning was fantastic as the weekend course gave me the confidence to teach whilst the online element provided information, resources and practise. I surprised myself by really enjoying the challenge of the final assessments and was thrilled when I received positive feedback and completed the course. I would highly recommend signing up!”

“TEFL lesson was beyond my expectations. When i first started it, I couldn't imagine how many new things I would learn. Both teaching practice and online courses were absolutely motivating and great. I would never regret doing it and I would always be grateful for the knowledge I received through it. The online lesson plattform is really easy to use and it is structurally excellent. The face-to-face teaching practice is one of the best experiences someone could have because a qualified, really experienced teacher watches your teaching and provides you with a really motivating and honest feedback which, in my opinion is a great opportunity. I would higly recommend to anyone who loves teaching and would like to follow this career.”

“I was extremely happy with course because it was more than what I expected from an online course. The 20 hour class time which I completed in Manchester was fantastic, a big thanks to Helen our tutor, it really was probably one of the best weekends I had had in a long time, I made some fantastic friends as well as learning an awful lot. The online course was exceptional, each modual was interesting, easy to follow and was presented in such a way that I sometimes I forgot to stop, some nights I lost complete track of time. The reason I value this course so highly is because I spent some time helping in an academy but saw that there was a problem with the methods that the teachers were using as the the students didn't seem to progress, I wasn't sure why at that time but as I progressed through the course it answered every one of my questions. I now feel confident that when I return I will be able to to use everything that I have leart to help the students with their English in a fun and dynamic way.”

“Completing the 120-hour online course with TEFL Academy has been a fantastic life changing experience for me. Initially I wasn’t sure how I would manage with the online learning that is involved in the course. However, I needn’t have worried at all! The materials were excellent throughout, engaging me in active learning activities using module workbooks and regular online feedback. I felt that the content prepared me very well for the online tests at the end of each module, and it was motivating to get the results of each test immediately. I really liked being able to work in my own time and at my own pace throughout the course. I found the assignments challenging but enjoyable, and the tutor feedback was positive and constructive. The e-ticket system worked well for me. I got a quick response from a tutor to a problem that I had and this was resolved in a very satisfactory way. Overall, the course is truly excellent value all round and I would definitely recommend it to others.”

“The TEFL academy was extremely organised and efficient, the downloadable workbooks allow you to keep track of your work plus they will always be available to you in the future when teaching. The modules are challenging but fair and the exams at the end are very specific and relevant to the module taken. When completing final assignments the tutors are punctual and helpful.”

“TEFL Academy refreshed my knowledge of the English language and how to teach it. It provided a lot of good tips how to properly execute a class and reminded me of all the important things a teacher must know. Lesson planning, analyzing students' needs, making sure all the students are catered for. The online module work was easy to understand and very informative. Workbooks could be incorporated straight into the module as opposed to having a separate document and having to click between the two, but it wasn't a major issue. My favorite part was the 20 hour intensive course. That's where I learned the most. We had practical teaching experience twice, also under bit of time pressure, so it really made us think hard and be very resourceful. I think for future courses there should be more in-class experience if possible. It was much more valuable than for example the module on the history of TEFL. As far as content goes, parts that focused on language were very well explained in a brief manner that wasn't too tedious. It was nice to see grammar and vocabulary and also phonetics being explained since it's been quite some time ago that I've studied it myself. My only complaint that a lot of the teaching advice is focused more on teaching advanced classes and not too much on teaching complete beginners and children. I would definitely recommend it (already have actually) and would even be interested in a more expanded version of the course. Overall I found the course really helpful, well put together, the feedback for both my assignments were insightful and I feel like it benefited me a lot. Thank you, TEFL Academy.”
