“My mother has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. She has always been a walker and now seems driven to go walking at least once a day but, sometimes, several times in a day. Sadly, she can no longer find her way home and the pendant tracker has proved invaluable in keeping her safe and locating her. We use it in conjunction with a camera on her front door and when we are alerted to her leaving the house activate the tracker to 1 minute. This affords us the ability to see exactly where mum is. We can give her the opportunity to walk for a while before picking her up. Mum does not tire when walking and without the tracker she could not be allowed to go walking as she would simply walk and walk and walk and we wouldn't have a clue where she was. Mum requires tremendous support in all aspects of daily living but the tracker allows her some independence and the freedom to enjoy being out in the fresh air walking and this fulfils the drive in her "to be somewhere/go home" for the duration we can let her walk. It is also brilliant being able to ring the tracker, once when we hadn't realised she had gone out we rang the tracker and we were able to speak to a concerned member of the public who had come alongside her and arrange to get her home safely. When contacting TechSilver I have received a first class service and they have been extremely helpful and given useful advice about the updated version of the particular tracker we have for mum. The only negative to her current tracker is the charging portal, which can be fiddly. However, TechSilver have addressed this issue in the updated model. As a family we highly recommend TechSilver and the trackers they offer. Caring for mum is difficult enough but, without the tracker, it would be impossible to give her that little bit of independence and freedom and she would have to go into a care home. Mum's needs are quite extreme but a tracker would bring peace of mind and reassurance where a person is just starting to have problems with their memory. We have recommended the tracker to several people and wouldn't hesitate to continue to recommend it to anyone considering using one.”

“Got this for my mum who lives on her own and has dementia, she has wandered a couple of times in the past. I have the tracker attached to her keys which she always takes with her. The app is easy to set up with helpful videos. I got the long life battery tracker which lasts about 2 weeks with the tracking mode set to refresh every 1 minute. I like the geofence set-up, so if my mum goes out of this, I get a notification.”

“We purchased a GPS device a few weeks ago for my father who has dementia and was getting lost. We chose a more expensive device as it had a longer battery charge and that has been a bonus as we can only charge it every week or so. The app is very easy to use and notifies us if my father has gone further than 300m. The GPS is more accurate than Google and we set it to update every minute so that we can keep an eye on where he is if he goes outside. The speaker has not been very useful in my father's case as he has hearing problems and traffic noise nearby drowns everything out. However, we are very pleased overall with the device and you get to speak to a helpful person directly if you phone Techsilver. Would recommend it to others in a similar situation.”

“I have had the GPS tracker for about a month. My mum has Alzheimer’s and I bought it as a precaution, in case she did start wandering or getting lost; I live 130 miles away and am her only family. It was only three weeks before it proved to be worth every penny when she started walking out in the middle of the night and the evidence from this meant that she has gone from no care package whatsoever to being in full time care. So whilst I now have no need for it, it became a lifesaver for both her and me I suspect. It’s really easy to use; my mum picked up putting it on the charger very quickly. Linked perfectly to my phone and tablet. Geofences easy to set up… the whole thing was easy with the video support. Highly recommend.”

“Outstanding customer service and satisfaction, Today I found myself worried that my mothers tracker had a problem after charging from 1% charge. Thank goodness we bought our tracker from Techsilver and not another email only communication company, I phoned the help line & straight through to a human, a caring member of the back up customer service team to talk to. They immediately took over the tracker to check the system making sure everything was okay and safe. They said everything was okay and gave me instructions over the phone what to do next to reset and switch on, I am sure it was me the operator that was the problem, but not made to feel stupid and customer oriented all the time and nothing to much trouble. Looking after Alzheimer’s/dementia is stressful enough, but the support of tech silver technical support team is invaluable. Thank you for be there.
