“Having helped out in a friend's Indian restaurant for many years I can honestly say these are the best food kits I have come across. Easy to make and perfectly portioned. I use boneless chicken thighs which have more flavour and texture than breasts.”

“As a family we love Tastesmiths! The fresh ingredients and easy to follow recipes are so handy and all the dishes are delicious. Our favourites are the Korma Masala, the Madras curry and the Tex Mex Chill co Carne.”

“I ordered 6 kits, they took sometime to arrive and all had the same use by date of 5 February. Had I realised they had such a short life I would have ordered less as I will not be able to use all six so quickly.”

“I bought a gift pack (variety pack of four different flavours) for my son’s birthday and he really enjoyed all the different flavours, especially the Persian koresh. He would have liked to have an accompanying sauce to go with the Shish kebab or more serving suggestions other than chuck it in a curry. But all in all, they all made a nice change to the usual dinners and he will probably try the other flavours as well. There are ingredients in each packet which you might not find in a supermarket, such as bark, so it seems a little expensive for what you get but then again you can buy all the other ingredients such as meats and vegetables as and when you want, rather than be specifically tied to a use by date, such as you get from Hello Fresh or Gousto.”

“We ordered the see 6 curry kits and beers bundle. It arrived on time for Christmas as promised. We've cooked one of the packs which went well and tasted great. Only comment I would make is S that there are 6 beers and 6 kits but we couldn't find any references to which beer should be paired with which curry as was implied in blurb on the website”

“Used the jamaican jerk marinade on a rack of pork ribs, my local butcher prepared the ribs with plenty meat on the bone it was so tasty thankfully I got more than 1 pack of it. Cannot wait to use the next marinade on a pork belly”

“I have ordered and enjoy the curries usually appreciating the freshness of the ingredients. However this time, when I had not received a delivery after ten days I emailed, no reply, I phoned three times over three working days, I was put on hold and cut off, I emailed two more times, I eventually had a curt reply asking for confirmation of my address which I replied to immediately. I received no further reply or communication. A box arrived - not these are not tracked deliveries - I was away that night and it was left on my doorstep. The contents has one week left to use by so I opened the first one the following day. There is mould on leaves which are soft - I can't say how it's been kept of where. Mistakes happen but the customer service is poor hence the rating. I will make the curries, but I feel disappointed that they have not been stored properly and are not as fresh as they should be. Sadly I don't feel inclined to recommend them again or reorder now.”
