“My order didn’t arrive, someone else’s did. Email exchanges about replacements was good but replacement didn’t arrived so I cancelled. Money was refunded. In summary, didn’t get what I wanted but they did resolve the issue via refund.”

“I have ordered and enjoy the curries usually appreciating the freshness of the ingredients. However this time, when I had not received a delivery after ten days I emailed, no reply, I phoned three times over three working days, I was put on hold and cut off, I emailed two more times, I eventually had a curt reply asking for confirmation of my address which I replied to immediately. I received no further reply or communication. A box arrived - not these are not tracked deliveries - I was away that night and it was left on my doorstep. The contents has one week left to use by so I opened the first one the following day. There is mould on leaves which are soft - I can't say how it's been kept of where. Mistakes happen but the customer service is poor hence the rating. I will make the curries, but I feel disappointed that they have not been stored properly and are not as fresh as they should be. Sadly I don't feel inclined to recommend them again or reorder now.”

“The spice sachets in my last order were either out of date or not blended correctly. No flavour, no heat and bland. I had to add my own spices to make a good curry. I've never had this issue with my previous orders so I don't know what went wrong this time. Very disappointed.”

“The kits are useful and good for making curry without buying lots of spices in large batches. However, be aware that the kits are sometimes incomplete, missing stuff that is meant to be in there. In one case, the instructions told me to add "Spice Pack 3", but it was missing. In another case, the pack was meant to contain dried limes, but it didn't. Even without these, the curry tasted fine. Even so, the kits should contain what they say on the packaging.”

“Missing garlic in the goan fish curry and ingredients not very fresh considering the date was 30th August but apart from that, very tasty thanks”

“I received my kits on the 12th August and they were all dated best before 22nd Aug. Not much shelf life unless I eat curry everyday for 10 days!”

“I know I'm one of the only to say this, however I am not impressed. Shish kebabs weren't nice, tikka wasn't either and I make a better chilli. Sri lanken curry was quite nice though. Fajitas are next on the list to try as I bought 8”

Hi Adam, thank you for your review. Apologies for the delay in receiving your order. Your order was placed on Friday evening, which was after our cut-off time of 1pm for the next deliveries. Therefore, the earliest we could send it out was on Monday (after the weekend), for delivery on Tuesday. I hope that explains why you received your order late. Thanks, Kru

“The kits give no indication of how long they will take to cook. We finally ate 3 hours later! The Korma was nothing like any Korma I have ever had before! I was disappointed.”

“Fresh ingredients put inside a plastic ouch are recipes for waste and disaster! I had missed. the little patch saying they should be kept in a fridge (unlike most other similar products such as Spice Tailor) and did not have room for them anyway. Big disappointment - won't try again.”

“The kits are OK but are very labour intensive. It would be better to have an alternative coconut source rather than the block. Preparing the chillies for the chilli con carne was too involved. I don’t think the food tastes any better than other quicker kits. They are certainly not to be used on a school night and would be better suited to a retired person that wanted a way to fill their time. Also they are very expensive for what they are as they are padded out with cheap ingredients like ginger, garlic and chillies. I won’t be buying again.”

“Ordered 5 different curry kits, they were ok, but nothing special and certainly nothing like you would get in a restaurant. Was fun to cook with a partner for a one off, but you could just pick up the ingredients in a supermarket.”

“Easy to order but disappointed with the overall product. I bought these as a gift. They have frozen all of the kits. When defrosted all the ingredients are like mush making them difficult to chop as per the instructions. They found the curries tasty but watery. Overall I am disappointed with this as a gift.”

“I made the Indian Feast last weekend, the bhajis were good. The curry was too mild and quite bland, thought I had been a bit wimpy on the chillies. Made tex mex chilli tonight. I put all the chillies in. The chilli paste looked like it should be fierce, but sadly again it was a disappointment. They look amazing in the packet but I'm not sure what I've done wrong. I have bought loads so hopefully if my husband has a go it would be better but I can't see how.”

“Not really impressed. Most dishes were too similar in taste. Freezing the packs wasn't successful because the garlic and ginger became too watery on defrosting.”

Hi Aidan, sorry to hear about your experience with us, we suggest when freezing the kits that they're not defrosted before use - this avoids the sogginess you found.
