“I really enjoy these meals! They taste authentic and I like the fact you can choose whether you want it mild or spicier. It’s also great that they have quite a long shelf life, but also can be frozen.”

“Love authentic Tastesmiths curry packs. They have a good fridge life so I can spread out my curry making days to stock up the freezer. Particularly like the Rogan Josh & Goan Fish curry packs”

“Tastesmiths are among the best of the recipe/meal online suppliers in my opinion. Since the onset of lockdown in March I have run through over 10 such suppliers, and had it not been my determination to continue home-grown "research", once I discovered Tastesmiths I would undoubtedly have patronised them more frequently. These suppliers fall into 3 categories: (1) Those that supply full meals frozen; (2) Those that provide all fresh ingredients and a recipe; (3) Those that provide sufficient appropriate fresh ingredients to which you can add your own main component. Tastesmiths fall into the last category, a category which gives you considerably flexibility which I think adds to the appeal. They provide a recipe and suggestions for accompanying component(s), but you can digress from this if you wish. For example, I did this for their Persian Khoresh, where they suggested chicken, lamb or veggies(aubergine & sweet potato). I made it with salmon and black beans and very tasty it turned out to be, as indeed have all the Tastesmiths offerings I've tried. This flexibility and the quality of the finished dish is what will keep me coming back to Tastesmiths in the future (at present I still have a few in stock, in the freezer). In addition to this advantage, they also give options/advice on how to produce the curry strength which you prefer. This gives you the opportunity to experiment with different "heat" and meet your requirements satisfactorily. I guess the only downside is the meals are for 2-3 people, and living alone this can be a problem. Not for me though, as I eat one, refrigerate one for the following day, and freeze one for later. In my experience, category 2 and 3 providers who do offer a single meal option, this tends to be more expensive and wasteful. In summary, Tastesmiths allow you to make delicious curries, with the flexibility to exercise your own culinary combinations. I highly recommend them.”

“Absolutely fabulous product.all the curries I have tried (14) have been excellent, so tasty fresh and flavourful. My fav is the Sri Lanka. In fact we are having the Persian tonight. My favourite find during lockdown. If you do nothing else this year but buy a selection. 👍👍🌶🌶”

“Authentic Indian taste, the kit is so easy to use, instructions are really clear, you can choose your own level of heat. Kits can be frozen to keep them fresh and used from frozen. I would definitely recommend these kits to anyone who wants a better flavour than a takeaway!”

“The curries are amazing, and the smell apparently is smelt several doors away from my kitchen, they are delicious, even my husband who is not a curry fan enjoyed them, the ingredients are in the bag, the recipe is so easy to follow!!! No guess work!”

“Have only made the Rogan Josh so far and it was really good. Made it with cubed lamb shoulder which I think was the right choice. Looking forward to trying the others - I think I'll do the Madras next using beef.”
