I recently won a car auction from this platform, expecting a vehicle in "start and drive" condition as advertised. The auction site even displayed a picture of the car's dashboard with the engine running. Upon collecting the car, I encountered a frustrating issue – the vehicle wouldn't start. After attempting to jump-start it, I discovered that the smart key provided was incorrect. Even after replacing the fob battery and verifying the physical key ( it doesn't fit), it became evident that the car was handed over with the wrong key. A call to recovery confirmed this, leading to additional expenses and unnecessary hassle. When I reached out to customer service through the chat feature, Martyn insisted that the provided key was correct and hinted at the need for reprogramming. The response was unsatisfactory, especially considering the misleading nature of the listing. The site had showcased an image of the car in a running condition, leading me to believe it was indeed operational. Martyn acknowledged using the same key to start the vehicle for the listing picture but refused to take responsibility for the discrepancy. its is clear that key i am holding is not the right key as it doesn't open the physical key slit. and car was complaining it is the wrong smart key. Feeling deceived, I expressed my frustration, stating that I wouldn't have bid as much or at all if the accurate information had been provided. Martyn, however, maintained that there was nothing that could be done or compensated for their mistake. If the car does not start then they should mention it. now i paid more than what the car is work and I need to go through the hassle and expense to rectify it. This experience is unacceptable, akin to feeling cheated and taken advantage of. I've been a repeat customer, but this incident has left me deeply dissatisfied. I am now left with a car that requires more investment than anticipated, and the unwillingness to rectify the situation is disheartening. As a customer who has invested time and money into this platform, I expect better transparency and accountability. Unfortunately, my attempt to resolve this issue through customer service has proven futile. I am now seeking guidance on the complaint procedure to escalate this matter further. I am willing to take it up to the trading standard if needs be. In conclusion, my experience with this auction platform has been disappointing, marked by misleading information and a lack of willingness to address the issue. further there is no phone number to call if there is an issue.

Having experience of Copart thieves, we want to buy back our Cat car that can be fixed with only a mornings work and a few bolt on panels. We agreed this with LV who call handler said no longer use Copart and they agreed photo up loader. LV agreed car stays here so there can be no issues of transport/fork lift damage or parts going missing. Not trusting the situation, the car is well away and boxed in. Lo and behold, message car being collected by Synetiq, replied outlining not to bother as no car to collect-still they turn up. Seem pretty keen to collect the vehicle even after a txt message and explanation on door step.

Problem after problem. Firstly, the only way you can communicate with this company is via web chat. It takes quite a while for them to answer each message and when you are trying to resolve a problem that they have created it is very frustrating. I purchased a bumper and drivers side headlight. The parts arrived and upon opening I discovered I had been sent a passengers headlight. I went through the long process of web chat being passed between departments and was eventually advised that an exchange would take place the following day (double clarified this). I took the day off work and no one came. Again, went through the long process of contacting via web chat to be told it was being collected that day and would be delivered the next day. In the mean time upon looking to fit the bumper I have realise that all of the mounting on the right hand side has been snapped off. When I purchased this bumper it was still on the salvage vehicle so this would have been noticed before it was sent out to me. Back through the long chat, unable to offer a replacement and unwilling to refund the additional delivery paid for this item leaving me out of pocket - shocking considered all the problems encountered so far. Taken another day off work, the replacement headlight arrived - it's broken! Cracked because its been sent poorly packaged. At this point I am ready to give up and would not recommend anyone using Synetiq for parts. Don't put yourself through the hassle, I would recommend you purchase what you need elsewhere.

“I purchased a car from this company, description Cat N salvage, starts and drives. The pictures of the car looked fine and I send recovery truck to collect it. Clearly the car had been damaged seriously since the pictures were taken and this car did not drive.Send complaint to customer service and showed them the pictures I had taken as evidence to gain compensation. They just spouted out bog standard rules and regulations. This company does not care about it's members, it will not investigate to see if you are right and it seriously only cares about pounds and pence it can take from you. Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad Company!

Car parts sales, a real scam, they delay on sending parts to push customers to cancel the order and the for them to keep the delivery cost. Pretending that the parcel was with de delivery man and that they have to deduct fee. the scenario is like that: after you make payment 1- first they give you a delivery date but they have to confirm 2- then they never get back to you until you chat back with them 3- they give you a date 4- then you give them your contact details and delivery address 5 - you wait then they tell you we have been trying to contact you but no answer 6 when you find out that they have been playing you and you cancel the order they accept without informing you that the delivery cost will be deducted 7 after few days when you find out through your bank that you have been partially refunded and claim your money back then they inform you about the delivery cost ALL THIS FOR 6 WEEKS 9 ISN'T THIS A SCUM???

Purchased a van from them, paid in full transport driver went over 150miles to pick up. They sold the van elsewhere outside of auction, joke of a company and committing fraud. They run the auctions blatantly every week with many lots sitting just one bid before reserve “coincidence” one bid and you win it. Watch the auctions for yourself and see it everyday. They steal parts off the vehicles and damage all the underside with forklifts, many smashed diesel tanks and adblue systems. You have no recourse with them with their so called terms and conditions they always mentions.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? This company isn’t bothered!! If you sell a car you bought from Synetiq and the new owner tries to contact the original owner, it will be you who’s account gets suspended. Apparently it’s my responsibility to find out they got the contact information from the sat nav and call list from the car. Oh and if you live chat them expect to get cut off at exactly 5pm.

ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY. carousel emails and chatbot rubbish. no human to human contact. generic replies. no issue resolve. utter incompetent staff. TROTTED UP on the auctions, says reserve met, then hey ho, its back on auction next week. its common practise now that ANY online auction platform wether it be the shyster sellers at SYNETIQ or BCA, they trot the bidding up and if nobody gets hoodwinked into giving all the money for it, then its back on next week and repeats until it sells.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our live chat is manned by colleagues and is not automated responses. As for the auction this is how it runs: As an auction listing is coming to its close, the activity of the bidders can reach its highest peak depending on how many members there are currently participating in the bidding as well as those whom have placed proxy bids. When items are showing ‘closing’ the status will show ‘winning’ if you are the highest bidder, however, bids can still be placed at this time at which point will auto extend the time and could result in your highest bid being beaten by another member. Your status will update and show ‘not winning’ if you are outbid. Once members have placed the highest amount they are willing to bid and the activity stops, the item will then end showing ‘closed’. An item will only reach a closed status when the bidding activity from members has finished allowing the time to reach zero. Auctions cannot be closed manually. We do understand the final few minutes of an auction can be tense for the buyer, especially when there is high activity from numerous bidders at the same time as well as other items being bid on round the same time too. Thanks, Hollie

They, Synetiq, sold me the wrong car to make gain. I got a terrible faulty car not the listed car. They listed FR62BWF which I bought. But they delivered through third party NL05MCG They don’t want to admit their mistake The MOT test on the delivered car came up terribly wrong and does not reflect the sold car. The difference between the sold and delivered is huge and visible through vehicle enquiry gov portal Obviously they made me loose money to make gain I also noted that they don’t meet nor respect bidding rules They do extend the defined close time limit to make extra gain. reference 26/3872211

They have bidding rules they do not adhere to, which say if you bid and then outbid then the clock goes back 15 seconds so you may bid again. I watched an auction close out as the winning bidder only to see that bidder never won or the clock go back 15 seconds. It never gave a chance to bid again or showed that someone else had bid. It looked for all intensive purposes the person I was watching bidding won the auction. Then it came up after the auction closed out and no 15 seconds were added that they did not win and the bid went up £10 but it said he was winning...? So don't trust this website or its bidding rules, they will sell you want they cannot sell or should. As I say they have some way of placing a bid probably in favour of some friend of someone in the auction to stick an extra £10 and not show the bid to you and give 15 seconds time for you to bid again. Shocking system and the company does nothing about it, something is happening that robs people who pay a fee to bid of their fees and it is not a fair playing field. They give no explanation just you did not win. It is supposed to be a live auction and it is scamming auction site that's what it is.
