“We booked a week's stay at White Thorns in Haverfordwest, in August 2025. We had an absolutely lovely time there. The house is charming, spacious and very well equipped. It was perfect for four of us, plus two dogs. The garden is delightful. We were impressed by the very clean house, the amazing selection of videos and DVDs and games. It was very comfortable and relaxed, and we really wished we had booked two weeks. It was a perfect base for visiting Pembrokeshire, and Haverfordwest itself had so much to offer. We walked up that hill many times ( which was very good for our fitness levels).

“Good access to coastal villages. Castle nearby . Further afield ,Cragside for walkers and Wallington with lots of play areas for children. Boats to Farne islands and easy journey to Lindisfarne .Forget me not villa was great accommodation for family ,very well equipped and cared for . Thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

“We have used Sykes Cottages for over 10 years and been happy up until now. After reporting a leaking toilet it took another call and almost 48 hours before it was dealt with (as they manage the property for the owner). Caused worry and sleepless nights. Not the best while on holiday and trying to relax.”

“Salakee is absolutely perfect for a family holiday with it being literally on the beach.
Its really is a home from home fully equipped with everything you need. It was also spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. If you want to eat out there is Stonesreef nearby and The Welloe.
To be able to sit out on the patio with the views and the sound of the sea was amazing.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend.”
“What a wonderful place to stay! My wife and I, 6 year old boy and Spaniel stayed in August. The cottage had everything you need and more. It’s set in a lovely quiet location 10 minutes walk from the beach at Gwithian. It’s situated in a nature reserve and the walks through this to the beach are truly lovely. The private enclosed garden was ideal for the dog as we were able to leave the doors to the living room and front door open to allow him to wander in and out to the garden when we were there. There is a small shop at a holiday campsite opposite the lane leading up to the property which was ideal for getting milk, bread and other things. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom downstairs was not a problem and the stairs were not that steep like other review state. Apart from the bathroom, the cottage is carpeted throughout. We loved our stay and will be back for sure.”
