“The building and grounds were amazing! I loved the sun room personally, and did yoga there every morning. Absolutely perfect. My little terrier loved the vast grounds and explored every inch of it and the girls loved the hot tub. My partner missed the locality of a shop to walk to close by but we knew that was the case upon booking so that was his problem 😜 The hosts were great and messaged me first thing on the morning of our stay to ask if we needed anything in advance. Really lovely touch, thank you. The only thing I felt that let it down and I’d have given 5 stars was if the cleanliness had been a little better. There were lots of cobwebs which I could have excused but when it came to the fridge freezer, the microwave and the oven/grill, I’m afraid until I’d cleaned them myself I wasn’t happy using the appliances. Im unsure as to whether the hot tub was cleaned every day as the (lack of a better word) scum seemed to gather quickly after the first couple of nights but that didn’t bother the girls at all so not a big deal. On another note however, the showers were clean and the bedding and towels were lovely and clean too. Overall, we loved it. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Shan”
“Loved this accommodation, the view is incredible and the place was comfortable and in a prime location for exploring north wales. We would definitely return again, thank you!”
“Wow where do I start? This apartment is like a Tardis…it’s huge. Spacious…modern and equipped to a very high standard. The kitchen has everything you need…microwave…oven…grill…fridge and freezer…plenty of cooking utensils and baking trays. Lots of cupboard space for all your groceries. There’s a washer / dryer in the apartment too…a table and chairs for you to eat your meals whilst admiring the stunning sea views. There’s also a study room which was handy. The beds are comfortable with beautifully smelling bedding…bedrooms with lots of drawer space…and the shower was easy to use and huge soft towels were provided too. It was great having two toilets.
A tea towel…washing up liquid and cloth was provided and four toilet rolls. A welcome pack of two sticks of rock…chocolates…tea bags…sugar & coffee pods awaited our arrival too. And in the fridge a bottle of Prosecco and milk which was lovely.
The cleaning staff went above and beyond to help us with any queries and hats off to Michelle who literally bent over backwards for us. We met George the owner who was very friendly and helped us out.
Must again mention the stunning sea views beautiful. We came by train and walked everywhere the location of this apartment is spot on. Just a quick walk…less than ten minutes from a huge Tesco…Lidl…the train station and the bus station. Where you can go to lots of different places including York…Scarborough…Filey…Whitby & Robin Hoods Bay for a few pounds just to name a few. A five minute walk to an Iceland and the harbour…where I can highly recommend a trip on the Yorkshire Belle…a fishing trip…speed boat ride and for the kids the pirate ship. Done them all…
If you can do an early start can recommend Bridlington Strawberry fields car boot which in the summer is every Tuesday and Thursday except on a bank holiday when it’s on the Monday instead of Tuesday. If it’s good weather it’s huge.
Just round the corner is a great pub that does home cooked meals opposite the Spa. It’s just a two minute walk to the beautiful clean beach. A great take away which does amazing kebabs and pizzas…and can recommend Audrey’s fish and chips which is a five minute walk. The north side beach is about ten minute walk away and if you venture further along there’s a crazy golf and putting green which is very reasonably priced and the cafe too. Can recommend a walk to Sewerby Hall and catching the land train back. The walk to Flamborough is a lovely long walk and again reasonably priced to go to the top of the lighthouse. There is places to eat and drink there and the views stunning.
We come to Bridlington every year and can honestly say for location…views and the standard of the apartment you cannot find better. We got chatting to other guests who said the same thing about their apartments…we saw inside another apartment which again was stunning and highly equipped and very modern.
We loved it so much that we have already booked to stay here next year. Highly recommended. A great thanks to George & team.”
“A gorgeous apartment with amazing river views. Such comfy beds and very cosy bed sheets. Everything we needed and a 5 minute walk into the lovely town of Barnard Castle with plenty of pubs! Emily was such a helpful host. We will hopefully return.”
“Excellent stay in a lovely location cottage had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and the hosts were very welcoming . I loved the goodies that were left especially as we arrived quite late. Highly recommend”
“Great location, lovely lodge stayed at Melly, wonderful views and our son loved the quarry. Great outdoor space especially for our dogs.
The lodge was very well equipped- only suggestion would be to provide a brush/sweeper rather than just a hoover and maybe a mop too. Otherwise it was a brilliant stay.
Thank you 😊”
“Amazing property!
What a fantastic well equipped place with incredible views
Well loved and looked after, clean and tidy.
Extremely welcoming and a fantastic holiday base.”
“This was our third year at Forresters House with yet anotehr enjoyable week in Shropshire near to family for a celebration. The configuration of the huse suits us for 6 adults and 2 small children. Lots to do in the area. Swimming pools at Whitchurch & Plas Madoc, hired a boat for the day at the Marina taking it to Whitchurch. We counted the tractors from the kitchen window and totalled 43 in the week!”
“A great little flat for a couple, very modern and well equipped and a great location to walk to beach and town centre, with a parking space and a nice balcony. We would use again when we return to Exmouth.”
“Sykes are very easy to use, you can usually find the right place for your needs for a great holiday.
We usually book at least 2 cottages in the UK a year, and have never been disappointed, we had one issue which Sykes were very quick to rectify. Which was not Sykes fault,it was due to flooding in the area.”
“Ebenezer House is a lovely cottage. It is in a great place for all amenities. The cottage itself is amazing if you go away with the family. The garden is lovely to sit on while big enough for the children to play. We were away with a 3 year old so we managed to play lots of outside games. I would really recommend for anyone with a family to try this cottage”
“We liked the open plan aspect of the lounge, dinner and kitchen. There were lovely views from the house and raised decking. The hot tub offered another good feature, however upon first use the water looked like it needed cleaning/treatment. For those who have mobility issues then within the house there are many steps and the garden is sloped. We did make use of the fire pit at the bottom of the garden. We couldn't use the off road parking on the drive as it is very steep and not wide enough to open the car doors. The kitchen offered the usual appliances but we did find the cupboards for food storage a little limited. On arrival the house was tidy but could have been a little cleaner. The hoover didn't have a cleaning head or pipe so using it was difficult requiring you to bend down. We did search all cupboards thoroughly but couldn't find the items.
The house is in a good location only a short drive into town and reasonable drive to Conwy, Llandudno, Anglesey, amongst other places.”
