"We had a really lovely stay at the lodge the hot tub was definitely a highlight! The two-bedroom layout worked perfectly for us, with one en-suite and a large hallway bathroom where our wee one loved using her Lush bath bombs. The lodge felt spacious yet cosy, and I especially liked the partition between the kitchen and living area as it meant I could cook in peace while my husband and toddler chilled out in the living room.\r\n\r\nIt felt private with stunning views, but it\u2019s still conveniently close to the estate entrance and only around a 7-minute drive to a retail park with B&M and Sainsbury\u2019s super handy for picking up bits during our stay.\r\n\r\nA few things to note: there\u2019s no dishwasher, so be ready to wash up by hand. However, there is a washing machine, which was a big plus and it means no laundry waiting for us at home! A proper clothes rack would\u2019ve been useful though, as only a small radiator rack was provided. On the bright side, the kitchen is well-equipped, and we were pleasantly surprised to find an air fryer and it\u2019s such a great addition that made mealtimes even easier.\r\n\r\nWe also appreciated the thoughtful touches like toys, books, and board games to keep little ones entertained. The only downside was the couch cushions and they kept sliding off, especially with an energetic toddler around, which made it a bit tricky to fully relax.\r\n\r\nOne small note: the freezer was completely iced over at the top, so we couldn\u2019t really open the top section \u2013 it didn\u2019t cause us any issues, but it might need a defrost soon.\r\n\r\nOverall, we had a great time and it was definitely one of the nicest lodges we\u2019ve stayed in around Northumberland. We\u2019d happily come back!"
