“Terrible communication from Sykes Cottages. Tried to extend our stay by using all contact methods and kept being sent back to the app which seems to be on a loop so you don't get anywhere. Great property & host was fantastic, just wouldn't book with Sykes again.”
“Oakwood lodges were on a lovely site, however the cabin I booked, cabin number 7 was not the cabin I was given upon arrival, I was given cabin number 6. I tried phoning the number given multiple times as the description on your website say the lodge I booked had a dishwasher. When I managed to get an email reply from the owners, 3 days later they said that two bedroom lodges don’t have dishwashers.
The cabin its self was clean however the bedding was old, stained and worn. And the mattress was very uncomfortable as was the two sofas in the lounge. I left there with a bad back. If the sofa, mattress and bedding had been up to standard I would return but until then.”
“The Cottage was charmimg lovely and warm and the log burner made it magical. Well equpit kitchen lovely warm shower and the whole cottage lovely and clean. Ideal location for exploring the surrounding area. Really enjoyed our stay.”

A very comfy cosy environment to relax and chill out. The weather was grim but the hot tub was great and we used it every evening despite the wind and rain. Very clean and tidy.
Limited utensils , missed a salt & Pepper pot were are only complaint.”
“Enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay here. The renovation of the barn has been very well designed. Liked the sliding doors between the kitchen and lounge so you could either keep them open or closed.
Parking the car wasn't the easiest given that it's on a bit of a slope (car wasn't that big) but the owners were very helpful. Parking on the roads outside is also an option.
In fact the owners are very helpful with any query was much appreciated as it makes a stay much more relaxing. Thank you
The barn is perfectly situated for the train station for trains to Sheffield, Chesterfield and Nottingham.
The welcome pack of bread, milk, jam, fruit etc was also much appreciated.

“Great short break at Oak View in Keswick. Problem with the heating on the first night but it was fixed within an hour of my phone call first thing the next morning - excellent service. Only possible problem for some may be the access stairs - not for those with mobility problems! Great flat,will be back!”
