“The property is stunning, however I agree with the previous review. It needs a bit of TLC. Seems a bit unfinished. The living area , the bedrooms are lovely. The kitchen could do with more equipment, such a more pans etc. The oven was slow. I would have liked more cleaning items so I could have cleaned up better. More binliners and soap stocked etc.”
“Just enjoyed a weeks holiday at Sunrise Cottage, Filey. The accommodation and location is first class. Would thoroughly recommend to friends and family. Upon arrival, the cottage was exceptionally clean and inviting, and the welcome pack included a bottle of Prosecco, lovely biscuits and various teas and coffees. The cottage is also just a stones throw from the beautiful beach, making it ideal for a small family.”
“This is a gorgeous cottage in a great location. The best equipped kitchen in a holiday cottage. Clean and comfortable with a nice garden. We arrived in snow so it was cold but the house warmed up in a few hours. Upstairs was cold during the night though. There are oil radiators which were fab but once we switched off the bedroom lost heat quickly. Maybe a heavier duvet on the bed would help. I would advise leaving the dehumidifier on overnight too. I would like to do a summer trip here when the weather is more clement with friends”
“Great family base. In between the hikes, and exploring, it was a great space to rest, play games, eat and take in the views. Kids and adults loved the karaoke, playing pool and table tennis. We walked down to the beach a few times. Kitchen had everything we needed for a large family ranging from age 5 upwards. The hosts were very generous with their welcome hamper!! It was a complete surprise, very kind and thoughtful! Looking forward to booking again!”
“Had a lovely relaxing stay at Manor House Farm Cottage between 13th and 20th Feb. Welcome basket was unreal. So many lovely items. The cottage itself was warm, cosy and full of character. Great base for our travels visiting Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and Saltburn. Location was quiet and serene with spectacular views.”

“The cottage was difficult to find due to it being in a very small shared driveway. Unloading was difficult as the driveway was also narrow, do not try with a large car. There was a private parking space about 40 yards along the main road. The interior was of a good standard fitted into a small area. The bedding provided had a very thin duvet 4.5 tog. We had to turn up the heating to keep warm enough at night.”
