“Strive provided an informative course and the tutor worked hard to ensure all learners completed their work with an understanding of the lessons involved.”
“Great course and a nice class size. I would recommend this to friends and family, especially if confidence when applying for jobs has been knocked. Generally speaking, I found that there was a lack of coordination with the admin team on multiple occasions. I would resolve an issue with one colleague and then receive multiple calls and emails from other team members. Nonetheless, it still wouldn't stop me from taking part in the course.”
Hi there Anonymous! Thank you so much for your constructive feedback. We're very sorry to hear about this. The operations team is aware, and we'll be looking into why you received multiple calls from team members, and what we can do to ensure no future learner has the same issue. Thank you again, and we wish you all the very best! :)
“Was a weeklong course about employability within the civil service. Overall the course was well done, very professional tutor who took his time and patience with all members of the course. However, a lot of the tasks took an excessive amount of time, for example, one the first day we spent 2 hours finding 2 suitable jobs on the civil service website. I completed this in 5 mins and spent the next hour or two waiting for my classmates to finish. At the end of the day, i understand the tutor has to wait for everyone to finish but this is just an excessive amount of time for this task.”
“I came to the course with the intention of trying to understand how to create a *strong* civil service application to stand out from other applications. Sadly, the course was a lot of copy and paste. Understand it's a mixed crowd but some workshopping time to actually run through personal statements, behavioural submissions and CV feedback for the role selected was missing. A smaller group would aid this.”
“The training itself was exceptional: A higher level of job searching and applications, mixed with Assessment criteria I'd never seen before.
Unfortunately, the online group scenario I found distracting, while balancing different windows, typing input and simultaneously following instructions as I'm less able than most with IT skills.”

“I thought the course content was fine and the detail for some of the course was good. However, I was a little disappointed that the instructions for the tasks weren't more clear and most should have some sort of example so a learner knows they're on the right track. I also thought more visual prompts would have been effective to signpost the tasks because there were a lot of EAL learners.
Lastly, I was not pleased with I asked Sam for help with a document and I was given a reprimand, instead of assistance. Not appropriate for educated adults.”
Hi there Anonymous learner,
Thank you very much for your review. We have passed this onto our quality team as a priority, as we want to ensure every learner is treated to the best possible experience.
Thank you once again!
“I feel like the tutor could have done a better job by putting more effort in the way the course was structured. There were times where the people on the course weren’t sure what they were doing and kept asking for the tutor to clarify.
The course was stretched out for long hours in the day which was unnecessary for the tasks given.
Overall the course content is good but poorly structured”
“I think there could be some better screening to who gets put on the course. Tutor was ok but the Friday was just a tick the box day.
Resources OK but meeting held on the Wednesday resources have not been sent.
Could off been condenced down to 3 days in my opinion.”
“The questions were very generic on the portfolio and the tasks weren’t specific enough. It felt very rushed they piled a lot in
I had alerted that I have dyspraxia and was pleased to have extra time towards the end. However because I didn’t have it at the beginning of the course I got very stressed. But I have learnt a lot about how business admin works and working in a team.”
