Hi Steve, As per our emails, the problem in this case is that the instructions we send with purchase were not read by you and though the process was not done correctly. Error ending 050 means you are using your 10 PRO key to upgrade from 10 HOME, when we state a dummy key is used for the upgrade process. Your license is to activate 10 PRO after upgrading, Key sold is valid and working, you just need to read and follow the instructions sent with purchase.

“Bought a license key to upgrade my Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro on my new Dell XPS13. Initially concerned, because after doing the upgrade the system screen said I had no digital license and needed to install Windows 10 Home; however it gave me a link to the Microsoft website to buy and upgrade (for £99!) - but in the small print there was an option to provide a license key for Pro if you had one - and the key I had bought from Software Geeks worked like a charm. Pro was up and running, fully authenticated, straight away. That was a couple of weeks ago and I have had no problems since. My system (in Settings/Update and Security/Activation) shows I am running the Windows 10 Pro edition, which is "activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account". Bitlocker now available and in use! When I was in the middle of my complications and contacted Support, they responded quickly, saying that Microsoft would not provide support on something they hadn't sold, but SoftwareGeeks would if I needed it - providing a new license key if necessary. I am a satisfied customer.”
