Hi Robin, Thank you for your review. You should have had an email from us when the order was placed, confirming the order, and advising that it may take 5-7 working days to be despatched. Please check your junk folders, as this email can sometimes end up there. We despatched the order on 22/07/20, which was 4 working days after the order was placed. This order was then delivered on 23/07/20. The driver has left a note advising that the goods were left in your porch. You should have also had an email and text from DHL when the goods were despatched and on their way to you. Delivery time fine and communication good but wood consignment was soaking wet on delivery and will require drying out time, delaying the project.

Hi Pamela, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we are not able to kiln dry the timber. It is stored outside at the mill, and is delivered to us on an open top vehicle. We also store any overstocks, that can’t fit inside our warehouse, in our yard. And we have no control as to whether our couriers are able to keep the timber inside during the delivery process. Therefore we are unable to guarantee that the timber will be completely dry. Particularly when there are adverse weather conditions. Nice people to deal with. Very efficient and pro,not delivery but extortionate delivery charge. Very imaginative use of scaffold boards with standard type a framing anchors in corners. Very robust when constructed but VERY agricultural looking

Hi Barry, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we do not have our own fleet of vehicles. We, therefore, use couriers to dispatch all of our orders. Unlike most companies, we do not hide any of the delivery charge inside the cost of the goods. This allows us to keep the cost of the goods low, and be more transparent with the actual costs of an order. With large heavy items, such as the timber you have ordered, the delivery charge can sometimes increase a fair bit, as we can only fit up to 25kg into one parcel. Ordered Scaffold Base Plates with rounded corners and 2 holes, but plate arrived with sharp corners and no holes. These are important features to us.

I ordered the scaffolding curtain pole kit, 3metre uncut. The product arrived in good time and there is no problem with the pole, however, it is far heavier than anticipated and therefore not suitable to the room/wall I was plannig to fix it to. The returns policy states that the customer pays for return delivery - a quote with Parcel Force was going to cost +£50, almost matching the price of the product/original delivery. Customer adviser at Scaffolding Direct also quoted a returns delivery price that again is more than original delivery charge and more than is cost efficient for me to return. I am so disappointed, and wish this had been more clearer when purchasing the product, as I now have a product that I am unable to use and cannot return. What do I do?

wrong parts delivered then took a further 5 days to sort it out then second delivery of the right parts turned a day late and threads damaged not good at all sorry

The poles don’t fit very well in the fittings neither do the wheels and the poles were very dirty, I can’t use this stuff for what I wanted to.

Bought a single scaffolding board for use as an emergency gangplank for my narrowboat. Very disappointed with the quality of the wood used, knots with knots missing weakeneing the board and worse, a single deep split running virtually the whole length of the board. Would not purchase from this company again.

I have yet to receive notification that my order is ready for collection despite ordering and paying well over a week ago, and despite chasing up by telephone. I was told there must have been an admin hitch in the warehouse and that I would receive a call back within a matter of minutes. Some days later I am still waiting. I cannot say anything about the product yet, but the customer service stinks.

I am aware that you have now spoken to my colleague Chris to arrange the collection this week. I believe what may have happened is that we have sent the order into the warehouse without realising that it was marked for collection. Therefore the guys in our warehouse packed the order under the impression that we had already contacted you. This kind of breakdown of communication is a very rare occasion, so I hope this does not prevent us from doing any business in the future. I purchased what was advertised as a Heavy Duty Tarpaulin, for my boat, but find that it is only Medium Weight, and find a statement that "the implementation of additional eyelets is suggested to reduce the stress that can be applied on the sheet during inclement weather conditions." The single advertising eyelet sent with it was easily torn from the small material sample so I am concerned as to its survival this winter.

Hi Richard, Thank you for your review. There is no industry standard for heavy/medium duty tarpaulins, they are sold by weight. The tarpaulin you have bought is a 170gsm tarpaulin, which is what we have sent to you. We have been selling these tarpaulins for 15 years and have only had a handful of manufacturing faults, each of which we have replaced/refunded immediately. Order confirmed 20 Sept, received text to say delivery planned 21 Sept. No delivery received, text saying delivery will be 22 Sept. Again no delivery received. No further text. When phoned, courier says that the product has been delivered and confirms they have a signed delivery ticket. Then they say: no, products are still in the warehouse! On 28 Sept the revised delivery was planned for late 28 Sept or 29 Sept. Finally arrived noon on 29th!. In mitigation, the supplier phoned me back when he said he would and explained the delay was with the courier, not the supplier.

Hi John Apologies for this. I can see that 7 parcels were sent out for delivery on 19/04/18, and 6 out of the 7 were delivered on 20/04/18. We have no record of you calling or emailing us to advise us of this so there would be no way of us knowing there was an issue.
