“Travel globally with my work, to a variety of climates and spend a lot of time outdoors in the field/bush. I use Rohan clothing extensively, shirts (travel), trousers (field) and a lot of merino kit. Unfortunately, there is a huge discrepancy in the quality/sizing of the long sleeve merino tops, if you go true to size it is absolutely skin tight and, annoyingly, the sleeves are often very short. I always go for a size up to have some room and better-fitting, more comfortable sleeves. The long sleeve silver t-shirts are superb with their sizing, if only the merino tops were like these!”

“I find the quality of Rohan clothing to be a cut above a lot of other brands and the service in their shops and from their customer service team on the 'phone is exemplary. I made an online order that didn't complete because of a problem with the payment system and the customer service team sorted it out for me immediately and organised next day delivery free of charge. Excellent service.”

“Enjoyed visiting stores in Bristol, Hereford, Shrewsbury and Truro when living nearby. Prefer to shop that way. The catalogue does not do justice to your products. I like to see true colours, feel fabrics, try different sizes to get a good fit and get advice from a knowledgable assistant. I am sorry that you have closed the Truro shop. Other retail outlets never stock your full range.”

“Have been buying Rohan clothes for 15 years or more. For wearability and ease and speed of washing and drying when on holiday they are fantastic BUT I have become increasingly disappointed with the way the sizing has changed particularly of the trousers. I have always been a size 8. My 15 year old size 8s fit well. My more recent purchases are bigger and can only be worn with a belt and long top. Sadly I will not be buying any more trousers unless you introduce size 6 to your range.”

“Last Rohan raincoat lasted 26 years! With regular use. Had to buy another one. Seems as well made as the last one with better protection against rain and a slick hood design. I look forward to another 26 years!”

“The website was being fractious when trying to place my order. But on contacting customer support it was suggested I call direct whilst they sorted out the website issue. On telephoning, my order was promptly processed and delivered. 3 stars for the website, 5 stars for lady who took my order.”

“The purchase was not online but by 'phone. As always, the order was taken in a friendly and efficient way; email confirmation of the order came through immediately; subsequently, there was accurate notification of delivery time. My occasional email contacts with Rohan have always been dealt with promptly and courteously. Rohan emails always keep you notified about offers, new products etc - perhaps a little too much at times! There is a limit as to how much new 'gear' I can reasonably use in a year and my purchases are little influenced by the number of emails received, which, at times, seem almost daily; often they are not opened. (A small point - in general, Rohan are a very user-friendly firm and the quality of their goods remains high.) In terms of recommending Rohan to a friend etc, that would obviously depend on what their requirements were.”

“I bought a needlecord shirt in aubergine that fits beautifully, and is a bargain at sale price. I was disappointed with the cord walking trousers, which were too snug a fit for comfortable walking, ditto the lined, 'winter' walking trousers, and I returned these.”
