“Brilliant book choices, fast delivery every month and always packaged beautifully. I took out a few different book subscriptions at the beginning of lockdown but this is the only one I’ve kept. It’s fab!”

“I joined Rare Birds earlier this year and I’m so glad that I did! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every book I’ve received so far and many of them have been titles that I probably wouldn’t have picked up otherwise. It’s such a treat to receive the parcel each month, a definite highlight in these crazy times! I’d highly recommend the book club for avid readers; especially those looking to read something a bit different.”

“I have been a subscriber for 3 years since Rare Birds inception and have loved being apart of this book club! Getting my perfectly packaged book through the post each month never gets less exciting and I love opening it to find out what book I’ve got that month. I’ve got a bookshelf full of books I’ve now recommended and lent to others and have an reading way more than I ever have - and have read some books I’ve really really enjoyed that I probably would’ve never picked up otherwise. I’m normally a reluctant “I need to read more” type of person - but not anymore! Can’t recommend enough.”

“I have always found it a struggle to find novels I enjoy, and as a consequence hardly read. I received a Rare Birds Book Club voucher for my birthday and a whole fabulous world has been opened up for me. I have enjoyed every single book so far. A great variety and books I would never have chosen myself. I am flying through the book each month, so much so that now I’m opting to buy the other book option too.”

I've had two out of three of my books so far and they come so beautifully put together and the books have both been brilliant. I like how there are 2 options so you can pick what kind of story you want to read while keeping the element of surprise. I can't wait to see what the next two options are and to receive my third book. Would highly recommend!”

“Really fun experience! I love that you get to pick a ‘mystery’ book but you still get a plot summary to help you choose so the chances of ending up with something you really don’t like are slim. Only slight downside is that there’s not that much discussion happening in the members’ area online which means this book club can feel a little like a rather expensive way to buy a good book every month without much of the social experience of book clubbing.”

“O read all the time - and I mean all the time but there is something that I really look forward to each month when it comes to choosing the one i want to read that becomes so exciting and then the anticipation when the postman delivers the book. My daughter subscribed for my birthday for 6 months and have only got 1 month left them what am I going to do. Luckily I have got a very thoughtful husband so will have to wait and see. Have not had a book that I didn't enjoy. Thank you Alison.”
