“I really wanted to love this but it's been disappointing. The product seems good quality however there are some issues that mean we haven't been able to fit it. The lathes were supposed to be 1.2m but are actually 1.15 which is a little annoying. This was to be hung in our newly built extension which with new regulations has a large amount of insulation in the ceiling which means the pulleys do not reach the ceiling joists so we cannot fix it. Also because the pulley screws have been painted they have lost their grip and we will have to sand the paint off for them to function which seems like an odd design choice. I was really excited to use this but now not sure if we can make it work without extensive modification. Surely lots of new houses now won't have just ceiling joists and plasterboard? I couldn't find anywhere on the website that explained how long the screw would be either. Seems a good product but let down by the fixings in our case as no option to use your own screws in the pulleys so we can't extend them.”

“beautiful product; however, their customer service is not great - there are loads of people to speak to you when you want to place an order; however, once the order is placed, there is NO ONE to speak to you to find out about delivery...they push you all over the place and advise that it's not their job. they give you an email address, which they say they respond to quickly, but in fact they never do. there is no tracking on the delivery and the delivery timing they give you is questionable. would question buying from them again.”

“On opening the box I found some of the paint was chipped on the pulleys even though the box wasn’t damaged so can only assume it was sent for source like that, and personally I think it was abit expensive for a few cast iron parts and 5 lats of wood. However it is fully functional and is used daily no problems.”

“Fast delivery. Quite nice looking but I have been surprised the slats aren't secured in place as makes the whole thing quite rickerty. We have secured ours with blue tac!”

“I am confused as to how I secure the poles to the iron work 8 pilot holes would have sorted it out so instead I pre drilled the poles and fitted some small screws seems to be ok”

“In principle excellent - however 1. Far too heavy! to pull fully loaded rails up to ceiling takes some doing! 2. Wooden rails are not fixed in any way (e.g. small grub screws to save them sliding when rail does not drop down straight 3. So stainless looks nice but too much weight; super stron plastic would be far lighter and pulleys do not help either Overall disappointed with a good product”
