I really wanted to love this but it's been disappointing. The product seems good quality however there are some issues that mean we haven't been able to fit it. The lathes were supposed to be 1.2m but are actually 1.15 which is a little annoying. This was to be hung in our newly built extension which with new regulations has a large amount of insulation in the ceiling which means the pulleys do not reach the ceiling joists so we cannot fix it. Also because the pulley screws have been painted they have lost their grip and we will have to sand the paint off for them to function which seems like an odd design choice. I was really excited to use this but now not sure if we can make it work without extensive modification. Surely lots of new houses now won't have just ceiling joists and plasterboard? I couldn't find anywhere on the website that explained how long the screw would be either. Seems a good product but let down by the fixings in our case as no option to use your own screws in the pulleys so we can't extend them.
