Thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the quality of the pebbles received. Generally we receive excellent feedback on our Scottish pebbles/cobbles. We would always encourage customers to contact us if there is any issue, so that we can resolve.

Ordered some Scottish cobbles 50-80mm. Although it states that they could be a little larger, some were measuring over 100mm. Phoned to see if we could return them. Receptionist was rather frosty and informed me that it would cost approximately £80_£90. Will not be using you again!! Customer service needs some improvements.

Hi Gina. Thanks for taking some time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear the cobbles didn't meet your expectation. In general we do receive excellent feedback on this product. The cobbles are graded at the quarry and some of them may pass through the grading machine sideways, resulting in some of the cobbles being larger than expected. We always recommend that customers order a sample before placing a large order, to ensure the product matches expectations on delivery. As this is a natural product size and shape may vary and the sizes are based on averages. I understand that you also felt our customer service was in need of improvement in relation to the cost of returning the items. Unfortunately the pallet company do charge us for returning a pallet and we are unable to absorb these costs, whilst remaining competitive and keeping our prices low.

The stones were lovely. However the poor delivery guy had to try and move a bulk bag of chips on a small trolley. The bag nearly pulled him off the back of the van and he couldn’t move it once it was off the tail flap. I was left with the bag in the middle of the road which meant I had to shovel all of the chips down my 60foot driveway then round the back of the house whilst trying to look after my 3 children. It was also raining cats and dogs. Not only is this type of delivery unsuitable it is downright dangerous. Your delivery staff could injure themselves by being pulled off the van into the path of a passing vehicle or rupture their backs and you may find yourselves in court for industrial injury cases, if not in front of HSE! Order from someone who have proper equipment for this type of delivery.

Many thanks for your comments. We have passed on your concerns regarding the delivery to the Pallet Network. The Bulk Bags we send out all meet the pallet network criteria and we have now been informed that your area is now covered with electric pallet pump trucks. If you ever experience difficulties in future with our deliveries please get in touch immediately and we will try to help resolve it.

Paid for an am delivery that never happened ,had to ring numerouse people to find out where the load had got to only to be told it had been on 3 diferent lorrys ,had done a 200 mile trip from where ot was lifted yet Im only 20 miles away from the fields where the turf came from .It was bone dry and going yellow ,supposed to have been lifted fresh ,what I got was not fresh .the load eventually arrived at 6pm and the driver wasnt happy as the wagon it came on had a tail lift that wasnt strong enough to support the pallet ,he nearly ended up on the floor with a pallet of turf on top of him . I complained about late delivery, did get an appology from the company director

I'm afraid the 850kg of play sand was poorly packaged in a sack which was mounted on a pallet which broke when exiting the lorry by pallet truck and dumped the play sand in the road.

The service was good and the delivery. The quality of the cotswald clippings I found to be quite poor. Once it rained once the original colours almost went and you could see there were different types of stone and what I could see ,some of them were not cotswald clippings that I had used from other places previously.

The Turf was OK, but the company sent it on a far too big lorry. I had explained the access and was assured that the delivery lorry was about the size of a bin lorry. I said that skip lorries and bin lorries get down the lane fine so this should be Ok. The lorry was massive, a high canvas sided one. It could not even get down the roads approaching the lane to the site. It had to park in a farm yard 600m away. luckily the driver was a decent type and he helped me unload it by hand and ferry it to the site, it took two and a half hours. I felt obliged to tip the driver as he did not have to stay and do it and it was not his fault. So i lost hours of time and energy and paid more money for the privilege. The driver even said his company has smaller lorries!. Clearly It should have been one one of those, I was exhausted before i even started to lay it. All because they failed to pass on delivery instructions. Thanks.

Hi Jason, we are sorry to hear that there was a problem with delivery truck. I have checked your order and we did inform the delivery company of the restriction and advised them that a small truck was needed and we even upgraded your order to a timed delivery because we knew that you needed the turf early. I know access was very tight as we discussed it was a small hamlet with no passing points and you said the truck might have to reverse down the lane to get access. I will look discuss your delivery with our pallet delivery network. Glad to hear the turf is good. Kind regards James
