Portland Brown made sure to send someone to meet me at the apartment on my arrival day. Additionally, I was well taken care of during my six weeks by the housekeeping staff. They helped me keep my home away from home in ship-shape! I think the best thing was one Friday after a difficult day at work, I came home to my clean apartment, which had the heaters on! On a day where nothing seemed to be going right, coming home to that kind gesture on a cold evening was the best thing that happened all day. Thank you!

The flat was in good conditions. Cleaning services were good as well. Location was really convinient, front door with a DLR station and close to Canary Wharf. My main problem was with the wifi connection. Not suitable if you need to work from the flat. It worked really poorly and after complaining a lot they provided me an EE mobile broadband. However, it run out of charge 3 times and it took some time (a day in one of the times) for the service to be reactivated. Not all the staff answer the same way about the requests and part of them seem not willing to help. Regarding this internet issue, one of the team members told me he could do nothing and that I would have to wait at least 24 hours, despite of the fact that wifi connection is included in the rent fees.

However, I am disappointed that you found our service to be inconsistent regarding the internet connection in your apartment. Although sometimes issues like this are unavoidable it is how we deal with them as a team that counts and I feel we have let you down with this. We class any internet issues as extremely important and you should not have been left without a connection for more than a day or have been made to feel like we didn’t take it seriously. Initially Portland Brown was very responsive towards queries and quick to assist but I found that service became slower and poorer towards the middle and end of my stay. Issues were not dealt with satisfactorily and we had to repeatedly report the same things over and over. I was especially disappointed by the fact that nothing was done by Portland Brown following my report that a bag of my shopping had gone missing from my apartment and the only persons who had been there were Portland Brown representatives and housekeeping.

Dear Siviwe, Thank you very much for taking the time to offer your feedback. I am disappointed to hear that you feel our service declined during your stay with Portland Brown as we pride ourselves on looking after our guests. I believe you may have become frustrated at the time it took to repair your washing machine and for this I apologise. Occasionally we need to rely on external contractors to carry out works and it looks as though we were unable to secure an appointment with them in a timely manner and that they couldn’t resolve the issue on their first visit. I take it very seriously that you believe nothing was done about your missing items. All of our team members and external contractors need to have a full Criminal record check and I can see that a full investigation was carried out, in which we formally interviewed every member of staff who had entered your apartment; but we found no wrongdoing. However, I apologise that this was obviously not communicated to you so that you could clearly understand how seriously we were taking the matter. Lost my bag on the London Underground someone found it and contacted Portland Brown (as it had my keys in it). On the same day, Portland Brown arranged for a courier to pick up the bag from the person who had reported it and delivered it to my apartment - no charge to me! This is far above and beyond the level of service I would expect and really, really impressed me. Well done! Will definitely recommend Portland Brown to my friends and family.

My stay at Denison house between 12th June - 6th Sept was quite pleasant. I found the apartment neat and clean when I first reached. I did face a few issues during my stay - - My washing machine was not working when I started staying at the apartment and it would have been appreciated had the working condition of all equipments been checked before a guest arrived. Though I always got prompt responses to my e-mails / calls, it was almost a week before my washing machine was fully repaired. - The hall balcony door got damaged on a windy day while I was out of the house about 3 weeks before I was due to leave. However, this was not fixed till the time I left. The only problem I faced because of this was the lack of ventilation in the hall / dining area as the weather was quite warm. - The water drains in the bathroom washtubs in both the bathrooms need to be repaired. I managed using them during my stay, though I did face water logging in one of the bathrooms and a temporary arrangement was made, though only after repeated follow up through calls / mails. I found the 24/7 Guest relations number very useful as there was always some one courteous answering the phone and usually quite helpful as well. Thank you

Portland Brown's service and flexibility is incredible. I am very happy to have stayed with in their apartments for 5 months. Although both flats I stayed in experienced issues, Portland Brown's staff were very willing to help and rectify the issues. I commend the company on its excellent quality of service and 24/7 support.

The apartment was lovely, and it was cleaned to pristine condition every week. Once I was locked out, and within 30 minutes Portland Brown arrived to let me in. I cannot fault the service they provided.

I found the little gifts after the weekly service to be very cute. A small gesture but one that goes a long way in making a guest feel at home and welcomed. The telephone staff were always very helpful when I needed to speak to them.
