I like the premise of PJ Pan, especially having high-quality pyjamas made in the UK. The first set of pyjamas were also exceptional. However, the last order is, in my opinion, faulty because the fabric became scratchy after the first wash. However, I can't return it or find any other solution with PJ Pan to rectify this situation. This leaves me with a £190 pyjama that I can't wear, return, or find any other solution with PJ Pan. Mainly, because I'm told that nobody else complained about this and that PJ Pan's Quality Assurance is impeccable. I would have hoped to be more trusted, especially being a repeat customer. With a heavy heart, I'm discontinuing ordering pyjamas from PJ Pan. Not because of the quality of their pyjamas but more for their low-class customer service. I expected to find some good solution for my faulty pyjama, but instead, it felt as if they would stick to a script offering me a 15% discount on the next order out of goodwill. Goodwill, instead of making a faulty product right. I hope this review helps PJ Pan to overthink their customer support.

Dear Hans - I understand we have been in communication with you over this matter on email. As we explained on email, this fabric is a very high quality cotton with a very high yarn count so we are very sorry to hear you found it scratchy after washing. We use this exact fabric base across nearly all of our prints (within the men's collection and also the women's) and have therefore sold hundreds of garments over the last few years and have received no similar feedback. In fact, quite the opposite - there are numerous comments from our customers praising the quality of this cotton: “fantastic quality material” …”silky, luxurious and perfect”…”lovely material” …”beautiful fabric” …”lovely soft cotton” etc. The first pair you bought was brushed cotton which is a very different fabric to your second pair. From your comments it sounds as if you prefer a brushed finish on your cottons as opposed to the smooth and crisper handle which is found on our lighter weight cottons. We pride ourselves on our customer service which is reflected in our very high scoring reviews and we always try to help our customers where we can, but I’m afraid, as per our terms, we are unable to accept items back after washing as we can't be held responsible for how garments are washed, dried or cared for. For example, excessive use of detergent can leave a residue on fabrics which can alter their handle. Not rinsing garments properly can also have the same affect and even hard water can leave a build up of minerals on the fibres which affect the softness of fabrics. Too high a heat can also potentially affect the handle of fabrics. All of our fabrics are tested rigorously by the fabric mills themselves and also by ourselves as we couldn’t possibly risk selling a fabric which didn’t perform well when washed. We therefore have full confidence in our fabrics and know that this fabric is not faulty. We would advise re-washing your pyjamas in a 40 degree wash with plenty of space to allow for adequate rinsing. We are of course disappointed to hear you will no longer be buying your pyjamas from PJ Pan but if you ever reconsider please do get in touch so we can advise on a suitable pair of brushed cotton pyjamas for you. Best wishes, the PJ Pan team.

I am a huge PJ Pan fan. My wife and daughter’s birthdays are close together, so I began a family tradition of me buying them matching PJs as birthday gifts each year. They loved last year’s powder puff pink sets and the quality (British made too!) is excellent. I made a similar order for this year (£180) for delivery to us here in Germany and had a helpful email from the PJP team warning me that there may be extra fees to pay (thanks BREXITeers). I had to pay an additional €84.00 and then the package that arrived was dirty, ripped open (including the inner packaging containing the PJs) and also had rubbish + small items and an invoice from another order to another person inside – see pic) :( :( Whilst we love PJ Pan’s excellent products, really want to buy British and know this is not really PJPs fault, I’m afraid this is just too much – almost 50% additional ££ charges + damaged delivery. Reluctantly I’m afraid I will have to look elsewhere for another annual source of PJs to continue this tradition :(

Dear Nicholas - we are so sorry to hear that your order arrived in that condition. It is so rare that packages get damaged in transit so we will of course take it up with UPS. We will send you a separate email now to resolve this. Best wishes, the PJ Pan team.

I have not yet received this item. My purchase has been stuck at Jubilee Mail Centre since 2/12/20. As this is a Christmas gift I am increasingly concerned. If you are able to assist I would be grateful. I would suggest you do not use Royal Mail delivery. My response regarding delivery time cannot yet be confirmed- already 13 dys. Yours sincerely Tess Hamawi
