“I've eschewed digital displays and fitness tracking in my new watch and gone for a beautiful design with old fashioned Swiss movement. Since I first saw the Neutron BK, it was love at first sight. On the wrist, it has a pleasing heft to it. It's an absolutely gorgeous indulgence. Excellent and personal servce from Piers, the founder as well - thank you! SWC - MMXXVI”

“So I just received my Neutron Black the other day, and couldn’t be happier. I’m not by any means a watch collector or someone who even knows much about them. But having decided that it’s time for something nicer than the Timex bought off the revolving plastic display at Walmart, I dove into searching for one. After looking at endless companies and reading endless articles it kept coming back to the Pinion. It’s elegant enough for more formal settings but also works for everyday wear, which is what I do. I wanted something minimalist enough to quickly see the time without having to try and find the hands against a complicated background while still not being too plain. It perfectly walks that line between being a functional tool and an artistic piece. There was one other watch, of a very different style, that was the “runner up” choice if you will. But the Pinion just felt right for some reason, and it turned out to be. One thing I was quite impressed by is knowing that the designer, owner and maker were the same person. It wasn’t built by employee #37 in some anonymous factory somewhere. Having worn it a few days now I can also say that the strap is quite comfortable, and at 38mm it’s just about perfectly sized for my wrist. All in all, an excellent choice.”

“Can I please implore everybody who is tired of corporate watch companies taking your hard earned cash and messing you about, if you want the real thing please order your watch from Piers, I can honestly say that he has given me the best service I have ever had. Prior to placing my order I asked some questions about strap colours and a couple of other bits, Piers came back to me the same day with the most helpful and comprehensive email with photos and advice, I pulled the trigger and then chose the Sellita movement as that was the only one available at the time, Piers built my watch based on this, and was about to test and get ready to ship, we then spoke about the LJP movement, Piers went out of his way without me even asking and hunted for one in his stock, he found one which was my lucky day! He then built the watch and kept me informed the entire journey, which has only been a week from start to finish! This review is NOT sponsored (although that would have been nice!) he is the real deal fellow watch folk. Please support him and Pinion, we need to preserve and nurture true British talent and skill such as his. I will be back soon Piers 👍🏻”

“In a world of overhyped watches, Pinion delivers the real thing. The Pure is true to its promise, feels incredible on the wrist, and brings me joy every morning. It’s exactly what a watch should be—beautiful, honest, and built with intention. The domed crystal is something I’ve always wanted, and the matte black dial—especially when the blue lume kicks in after time in the sun—is genuinely striking. I was initially worried about the lack of minute indices, but it’s perfectly legible and I haven’t missed them once. I’ve already knocked it into door frames and tools while working, and it’s taken every hit without complaint, I don't expect to make that a habbit, but his is the kind of watch you can wear with anything while doing almost anything, and that's exactly what I intend to do. The build quality gives me confidence that owning it will be smooth and worry‑free. I’ll be checking in with Piers again the next time I'm looking to mark another milestone in my life. Excellent experience.”

“Thank you Piers! My Pinion Pure Black is superb, I can't fault it . The size , weight and aesthetic are perfect. The crown size and functionality are the best I have ever experienced on a manual wind watch. The gilt movement,viewable through the display back is beautiful. Fantastic watch for the price point, build quality is comparable to Rolex and Omega Inhave perviously owned.”

“I wanted a watch from a micro/ independent brand and British to add to my collection of high st brands like Omega, Rolex,IWC, . After hours of searching the Pinion “Pure” seemed to fit the bill. The bronze colour case is ideal, an alternative from steel. The 38mm case and simplicity of the dial looks great. Couple that with the exhibition back showing the movement. Finished off with the black rubber strap. Very happy with the watch.”

“The whole process, from contacting Piers, asking question that were answered, ordering and receiving the watch was excellent. The watch itself is superb with great quality in every detail and the design and how it wears on the wrist up there with the best. You can buy a cheaper watch for sure but for the price the watch feels far more expensive and is a bargain.”
