“The watch is absolutely gorgeous, runs at -1.5 second per day and at 35mm diameter and 11mm thick, it slides effortlessly under a dress shirt cuff. Of course this thing is really all about the dial, and the dark blue shade with the Guilloche center it should be very dressy, but the brushed case says tool watch, add in the fauxtina lume and this should be a very chaotic design, but somehow it all comes together and makes either a very understated dress watch or a more formal than average field watch. Whatever it is, I really like it and see it getting a whole lot of wrist time.”

“I bought a Pinion Atom automatic watch. The service is swift and professional. I reveived my watch from the UK and delivered to Canada in a matter of days. The art engraved on the back of the watch is very nice touch and the red dial is spectacular. I own the Atom along with the Pure edition I bought a few years ago. These watches aren’t mass produced and off the shelf. It feels like a great deal of care and attention goes into the watch design and build. The end product feels very special indeed. I would highly recommend a purchase from Pinion.”

“I loved the Neutron's look, and contacted Piers with various questions and requests, including wanting to try the watch before deciding on engraving. He dealt with it slickly and without fuss, and the shipping was boringly perfect. So, full marks for customer service. The watch itself is every bit as striking as it looks on the website (though the dial on mine looks darker blue than in the photos). I love the beautifully clear dial design, while the embellishments - guilloche disc in the middle, smaller markings around the edge - add style without reducing clarity. If, like me, you don't like 'bling' or chunky show-off watches, the Neutron is perfect: beautifully designed, elegantly understated, and clear to read at a glance. Having spent years wearing a watch only sporadically, I now don't want to take this one off!”

“I'd been looking for a British watch for a little while having thought about saving for a big brand Swiss watch but being put off by the prices and the waiting times. I stumbled across Pinion, and then realised their owner, Piers, is based in the next village - what a lucky coincidence! After a great deal of research, and a couple of visits to Piers' house to try on different models, I decided to go an Elapse in Anthracite. It's a really chunky, good looking watch that seems to change colour from light grey to black under its crystal clear glass face, depending on the light. I wear it almost every day and I just like it more and more. It's easy to read, has a reassuring heft about it without feeling clumsy, and works in formal and informal settings - I've worn it to black tie events and kids' football matches! It's a luxury watch you can wear every day and anywhere. Pinion watches are packaged up in a lovely watch roll, and mine included the tools I would need to change watch straps, as I had asked Piers for a stainless steel bracelet as well as a tan and a dark brown strap (and the canvas strap that comes as standard). The whole package is really high quality, carefully considered and just a little bit different. Piers couldn't have been more helpful. He was calm and patient, never pushy or looking to 'close the deal'. I know I was lucky to be able to speak to him and try watches on in person, but I can see he's got the same feedback on here from online customers, so it's definitely part of the Pinion service. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my new Elsapse, and feel like Pinion have got a customer for life in me.”

“I've had my Atom 39 (I was lucky enough to get the very last one!) for 6 months now and i've been delighted with it. I requested a left-hand version which Piers was more than happy to build for me (talk about great customer service). The watch is beautifully designed and built very solidly, and the size feels just right. Also want to mention the packaging it arrived in - amazingly presented with some nice accessories, and stored safely in a chunky leather pouch along with the straps and tools - couldn't be happier!”

“Pinion neutron is a beautiful model in all its variants. I was attracted to Neutron ST-BL and ST-DP so, since I couldn't decide which one I should get, I decided to buy both. Great decision! Each one has its own character and presence, which is remarked by how their dial finishings play with light reflections and tonal change. Indeed, I will follow Pinion's new releases, hoping are as amazing as this one!”

“Where do I begin? I got on touch with Piers a few weeks back to see if the orange R1969 was still available. It was, and as it had been a few years unsold got an ex display discount - but that didn't mean Piers was going to send it out unseen. Instead, he sent it to be serviced, then sent it to the watch case guys to have some knocks polished out - and then back to the servicing guys because he'd spotted something he wasn't happy with. Couldn't me happier with the watch itself, but the level of service to get it to me - and to get me an ex display watch in essentially an as-new state, was incredible. I'd have no hesitation recommending anyone to pinion for both the quality of the watches and the quality of service.”

“I'm delighted with my Pinion watch, the recently released Neutron. The guilloche pattern in the center of the dial gives it a refined look. It's only truly visible during well-lit conditions and at certain angles - at night time you can barely see it. “Pinion is a petite watch maker and is expected to supply above average watches, and with special features. All made in Uk is some characteristics attraction and I chose the Pure manual watch. Services by Piers is excellent and he achieve his said target delivery date; looks like he attends all these details for his customers. Referring to the watch itself, it is completely stunning, well beyond my expectation. The hand feel and the photographic outlook is even better than the picture shown at the official site. The glass is crystally clear and transparent, looks like professionally and finely polished The packaging goes beyond the norm of a box. It is a tool wrap with an artisic leather closing strap to form a storage cavity. “I started researching watches because I wanted one. I didn’t want the run of the mill Rolex, etc. I wanted something English, something a lot more subtle but with an abundance of class. “For some reason, Pinion never really caught my attention until I saw previews of the Neutron. The watch press made it clear that this was an evolution on an earlier model that I recalled seeing, but to describe it as such would be faint praise at best. The case is perfectly sized with a brushed finish that masks any nicks that it is likely to receive at some point in regular use. The bezel is elegantly designed and a nice touch on what would otherwise be a straight-forward tool watch. I ordered the blue dial and the guilloche center contrasts nicely with the brushed hour track, giving the dial a bit of a sector feel, but with a touch more formality. The beige lume fits perfectly, and both the even hour markers and the hands add a welcome dimensionality to the design. The solid caseback with custom engraving is a lovely touch, as the movement itself isn't likely to win any awards for decoration. Overall, build quality is superb and the time keeping very solid, as would be expected given the in-house regulation. The Neutron is a great GADA watch and instantly bullied its way into my regular rotation, pushing out a few far pricier watches by more famous and established brands. Bravo!”
